Obsession
Summary: Miguel tries to convince himself that his obsession with you was justified, but fails miserably as you spend the night over.
Pairing: Miguel O’Hara x spider-woman!reader
18+. Miguel POV. Obsessed and jealous Miguel. Inexperienced reader. Breeding kink. Sexual tension and frustration. Reader has nipple piercings.
Previous parts: 1 & 2 (you may enjoy this one separately, but might miss out on some context)
Miguel tried to convince himself that adding a mic to your digital suit was purely for safety purposes.
He really did try.
But he couldn’t keep from listening in when you first wore it on your way to the spider cafeteria.
He had just briefed a squad and was monitoring Nueva York through a multitude of hovering screens, as he stood on his platform.
Tapping quickly on the flickering surface, he was able to zoom in on you through the ceiling cameras.
You looked absolutely breathtaking.
The suit fit you like a glove and left little to the imagination. He was proud of his work. You deserved wearing something of his for everyone to see.
He saw you approaching a nearby table, taking a seat. In front of you were Jessica Drew and Peter B. Parker with Mayday who greeted you with warm smiles.
The sound of your voice echoed through the walls around him, as you extended your arms.
“Mayday! Baby! It’s so good to see you!”
The little girl broke into a giggle and began wriggling forward on Peter’s lap to reach you.
You promptly took her in your arms. “Did you miss me? Did you?” your voice was slight high-pitched and you wiggled your fingers, tickling her. “Oh, I have a present for her.”
“Really? That’s so nice of you,” Peter beamed.
“I don’t have it here, but I think she’ll love it,” you said, patting Mayday’s back lightly, earning a genuine hug from her.
Miguel felt his heart clench violently.
You were a natural with kids.
You were just too good to be true and he felt his hands clench tightly.
Would he ever be able to have you? To make you yearn for him? To breed you? To have children with you?
“Wait, is that a… digital suit?” Jessica’s voice cracked through the mic.
You had your back turned to him, so he couldn’t see your face, but he felt the warmth in your voice as you spoke, “It sure is!”
He groaned lowly.
There you were… his sweet girl.
“Who gave it to you?”
“Miguel,” you said with that tenderness he had grown to adore.
He could easily get addicted to you saying his name, and he could only hope that, one day, he might hear it a much more compelling setting.
“Miguel… O’Hara?”
You nodded.
From the screen he could see her exchanging looks with Peter.
“It looks really cool!” Peter smiled enthusiastically, inspecting your sleeves. “Wish he’d offer me one, too.”
Jessica chuckled. “Well, I’ve been here with him for months and he’s never given me one.”
Jessica…
It was to be expected. She was no fool. He had scouted her precisely because she was anything but that.
You had been recruited only three weeks ago, but the hold you had on him was tight. He had never felt this way before with someone else.
You straightened in your seat, as Mayday nibbled on your thumb. “Wait… do you think I should give it back?”
Miguel felt his heart jumpstart and panic build inside him.
“No — no! Jessica,” Perer shot her a glare who merely shrugged, before offering you a kind smile. “It looks great on you. Did you pick the colours?”
“Yes! I’m really happy with the final result,” you said, helping Mayday sit at the edge of the table, as you secured her with both hands. “It was his way of showing gratitute.”
Jessica snapped her fingers after taking a sip of her drink. “You’re helping him out with the portals, right?”
“We’re working on portal stabilisation and reduced motion sickness,” you said and he could almost taste the pride and passion in your voice. “We’re making some progress.”
Miguel had gotten used to the random erections you’d awake from him throughout the day. But this one felt particularly painful.
You were so smart and so devoted. He couldn’t even take credit for the progress, because it was mostly just you.
His sweet and clever girl.
He glanced down at the outline of his strained cock, clicking his tongue.
By the time his eyes settled on the monitor, Jessica had walked away momentarily and he saw Peter lean in.
“Hey… are you and Miguel… a thing?”
Miguel froze.
Mayday proceeded to wrap tiny fingers around some of his locks, tugging lightly.
He wish he could have seen your reaction.
“Oh! No! No… we’re just friends,” you quickly said, waving your hands rapidly. “He’s like a mentor to me, really.”
Anger flared inside him. A friend? A mentor? He knew deep down this made absolute sense, but it still made him seething with rage.
Peter didn’t seem all that convinced, but nodded. “Just wondering. He’s not usually this… kind?”
Miguel felt his fangs threaten to emerge as he gritted his teeth.
There had been nothing kind about him building you a suit. He hadn’t done it out of the goodness of his heart.
He wanted to claim you and this had been the easiest and safest way for now.
“Well, I know he’s a grumpy,” you chuckled with a shrug, as you patted Mayday on the back. “Maybe he’s changing?”
You wouldn’t want him to change. Not really. The level of devotion he had for you was unmatched and nothing you could ever have from someone else.
“Maybe you’re a good influence on him?” Peter concluded, tapping his chin. “As a friend, of course.”
“Peter….” he growled lowly.
“As a friend,” you nodded. “Besides, there’s…” but your voice trailed off.
His erection nearly immediately deflated as dread took over.
There’s what?
He turned up the mic’s volume, but winced instead, as you banged on the table.
You cleared your throat. “Well, gotta go! I have work to do.”
Peter took Mayday back into his lap and chuckled. “Don’t forget her present!”
“I won’t! Wish me luck, though,” you said, crossing your fingers as you started to walk away. “I really need these chips to stop blowing and melting on me!”
“Good luck! Say bye bye, Mayday,” Peter waved his hand, which the little girl promptly mimicked with a giggle.
“Bye, baby!” you beamed.
Miguel had had enough.
He switched off your mic with a tap on his watch.
He really had tried to convince himself that his obsession for you was justified. That is was rooted in more than lust and desire, but he wasn’t so sure anymore.
After you moved to Nueva York, he had you working closely to him on portal stabilisation.
But what had started out as something innocent, soon shifted into something else entirely.
Your company brought him peace and quiet, and ticket his brain just the right way to keep him motivated.
Until it didn’t.
Until you became his torment.
He had let you in his life in the hopes that you let him in yours.
The first time you gave him a boner was when he walked in on you in the lab, wearing nothing but a tank top and a pencil pressed firmly in between your lips, as you moved from screen to screen to check on the update progress.
The worst part? You didn’t even notice how utterly delicious you looked and how he could easily bend you over and take you right there.
No.
You just offered him a sweet smile.
One he hadn’t recovered from ever since.
“Miguel?”
He jolted as the voice snapped him from his torturous thoughts. “What?”
Lyla hovered nearby, eyeing him closely. “Fangs out,” she wiggled her index finger disapprovingly. “Pavitr and Hobie are waiting for you.”
His fangs retracted slowly as he tried to gain his composure back. “Why?”
“Mission?” she quirked an eyebrow.
Right.
“Now?”
“You’re already late.”
He growled, tapping on a few screens hurriedly.
“Oh, and Miguel?”
“What?”
The hologram popped near the screen to his left. “You might want to be more subtle when using her in-suit mic.”
He gave her narrow side-glace. “What do you mean?”
“Just saying,” she said, adjusting her heart-shapped glasses. “You’re not the only tech savvy spider here.”
The door to his apartment swung open at once, and he stepped inside ready to decompress from the tiresome mission.
He had made plans with some of your audio recordings and his hand, hoping that would be enough to easy the pent-up tension that had been looming over year throughout the way.
It was a less than ideal situation, but would have to do for now.
That was until he noticed his living room was lit.
Pacing rapidly he was met with you.
In the middle of a pile of papers and electronic components scattered around the floor, he saw you sitting cross-legged with a pencil danging from your lips, his digital suit clinging tightly to your body.
“What are you doing here?”
Your bead snapped in his direction and the pencil tumbled to the floor. “Miguel! Lyla let me in.”
He was rooted in place.
Had it been someone else, he would have flung them through the window with no warning.
But you weren’t just someone.
And Lyla wouldn’t have let someone else enter his apartment, either.
“It’s quite late,” he said, pacing carefully toward you as not to step on anything. “You could have called me.”
You waved a hand dismissively and held a circular metallic object in the other. “Catch!”
Before he could say anything back, you had tossed it in his direction, which he quickly grabbed in between his fingers.
“Found what was wrong with it,” you smiled proudly. “It was stupid of me, really. There wasn’t any thermal paste in it. That’s why it kept blowing up.”
Miguel stared at the chip in his hand and blinked a few times.
“I assumed you were using it from the start,” he said, inspecting the cross section.
You rose to your feet in an instant and joined his site, excitement spilling from you. “These ion batteries should not require thermal paste — not for this amount of energy, at least. But yeah… my bad,” you said, rubbing the back of your neck.
Miguel locked eyes with yours and felt a familiar tingle in his body.
Fuck.
You were just so ridiculously attractive, and he wish he could hear you ramble about tech and science for hours.
“This is really, really good news,” he said genuinely, handing the chip back to you.
He squeezed your arm lightly as encouragement, knowing fully well he should be rewarding you in other ways.
His sweet girl…
You darted back to the floor, gathering some papers. “Sorry for the mess. I just had to figure this out and couldn’t sleep.”
A scientist at heart, you were.
Blood began to rush to his groin in no time. It couldn’t be helped. His body had been so on edge to finally fuck you, that it was in this permanent state of arousal around you.
“It’s fine. I still have those moments,” he said softly, crouching to help you out. “Sometimes I can’t sleep, and I have to do something else.”
“Like what?”
“I either go to the lab, or…” I jerk off to the thought of being buried deep inside you, he wanted to say.
You eyed him expectantly, biting your lip lightly, further hardening his cock.
“Well, it’s a bit late,” Miguel eventually said, standing tall. “Maybe you should get back to your apartment?”
He hated himself for even suggesting such option, but he didn’t want to push his luck. You being here would be fuel enough for the rest of the night as he fucked his hand.
“Oh, you just got back from a mission,” you fought back a yawn, tossing your backpack over your shoulder. “I’ll just leave.”
Miguel nodded, but was crumbling inside.
Your face lit up again. “But this was great, right?”
Please stay.
“You did great,” he said with a short smile. “Go get some rest.”
Please…
You made your way down the hall and waved at him. “See you in the morning, Miguel.”
He should have let you go.
But something took over him, before he could fight it back.
“Actually, you could stay. It’s nearly four in the morning,” he tried to sound as casual as possible, but the excitement was hard to contain. “And we have to head back to the lab early.”
You turned around and he stopped breathing.
Too much?
Then he the backpack slide down your arm, hittingbthe floor with a thud. “Oh, thank you! I really didn’t feel like swinging back to my apartment,” you voice held pure gratitude and he felt his ego soar. “Only… I don’t have any clothes.”
He shook his head as realisation hit him. “Right. Wait here.”
“Okay~”
Bolting into his room, he went through his closet, fetching a shirt and a robe.
But before heading out, he decided to change into some sweatpants and a shirt himself.
His erection welcomed the looser material, and he’d be able to better conceal it from you.
Taking a final look at his cock, Miguel decided to give it a few pumps as if trying to calm it down.
He couldn’t believe his luck.
He couldn’t believe his sweet girl would be so close to him in his clothes and apartment.
And bed.
As he exited the room and handed the clothes to you, he cleared his throat. “You can take my bed.”
You looked up at him. “Oh… no, Miguel. You just came back from a mission.”
“I’m not that tired. Just take it.”
Please.
“Are you sure?”
“One hundred percent.”
Anything that was his was yours. He would give it all to you.
“Be right back,” you said, before disappearing into the bathroom, closing the door behind you.
He immediately sighed in relief, adjusting his cock, feeling the first beads of precum spill from the tip.
How was he to survive this?
Not long after, you emerged again.
He glanced over at the length of you, taking in the sight of his shirt and robe on you. Your legs were still covered with the digital suit, but you looked absolutely ready to be devoured.
But he couldn’t do it.
Not yet.
His cock twitched in his pants, yearning to be inside you.
Then something else caught his attention when his moved up your body.
It couldn’t be…
Two symmetrical protuberances poked through the fabric of your shirt — his shirt.
“Are those…” his voice faltered momentarily, not trusting his own eyes.
You followd his line of sight and giggled. “Oh! Yeah. Got them pierced way back. Wanted to defy my dad and got them out of spite,” you went on, adjusting the fabric of the shirt under the robe. “But eventually kept them. They look cute.”
Cute?
Miguel was at a loss for words.
Your voice mixed with your carefree posture sent jolts directly into his cock.
“I…” he swallowed the lump in his throat. “I didn’t notice them before,” he said, feeling his mouth run dry.
“I was wearing a bra,” you replied with a shrug and a tender smile.
This was almost comically painful.
You were the closest thing he had ever known to innocence as of late. Yet here you stood, wearing just his shirt, no bra, and with your pierced nipples poking through his shirt.
But none of that seemed to matter to you.
You were completely oblivious of how painfully hard he was for you.
“Did it hurt?”
“Terribly,” you said, still glacing down at your breasts and hardened nipples. “But I think it’s worth it.”
The adorable way in which you said it was almost driving him insane.
Just how innocent could one person be…
Before he could even process his thoughts, he spoke, “Can I…”
Your eyes met his and Miguel feared he had now fucked it up for good.
Brilliant, Miguel…
“Oh, you mean… you want to see them?”
Should he back down and just deny his intentions?
“You’ve never seen nipple piercings before?”
He shook his head.
Just as he was about to tell you to forget it, you lifted his shirt, revealing your breasts to him.
He nearly exploded right there and then.
“Oh, please!” she giggled. “We’re people of science, and you haven’t seen this before. Science is all about curiosity and discovery.”
Miguel, however, wasn’t listening to any of that and felt as though he was hypnotised. He could tear his eyes away from your perky nipples and the metal rods that went through them, a tiny spider danging from each of them.
He wasn’t sure when or how he had got so close to you, but he lifted his hand to touch one.
His cock twitched violently and he felt his mind hazy with lust.
“They’re cool, right?” you beamed, allowing him to swipe the pad of his thumb across the tiny spider.
“Yeah.”
Really ‘cool’.
More precum dripped from his tip and had to fight back his fangs from slipping out.
He wanted to bend over and dart his tongue out to play with them. He wanted to tug on them and wanted you to arch your back with a soft moan.
You pulled down the shirt again and he flinched his hand back instantly, swallowing hard.
“So… if — when you have a baby and want to breastfeed… will there be an issue?”
Of course his need to breed you had to surface at the worst possible time.
But he had to know. He needed to know if that would be a nuisance. He couldn’t take any risks and he wanted you completely ready to carry his children.
You shrugged, adjusting the robe around you. “I wasn’t thinking that far ahead when I got them, but I suppose I just have to take them out.”
He nodded, taking a few steps back.
You stretched out with a yawn. “Mind if I go to sleep now?”
“Of course,” he nodded.
You were about to whirl on your feet, but decided against it. “How do you say ‘thank you’ in Spanish?”
That caught him off guard and his eyes widened. “Gracias.”
Then you gave him the sweetest smile. “Gracias, Miguel.
He could cum just from this alone.
How he would teach you the filthiest things in Spanish… how he would whisper them in your ear, knowing fully well you couldn’t understand a word…
You then slipped into his room and closed the door.
He ran both hands through his hair, wanting to let out a scream.
The things he wanted to do to you…
The things you deserved done to you…
He brought one hand down to tug at his waistband, revealing his soaked cock.
Then he bit the back of his other hand.
Hard.
He didn’t even care if he drew blood.
He couldn’t take this anymore.
Engulfed with overwhelming frustration, he pressed his forehead against the tall window that overlooked Nueva York.
He had to calm down, or else he’d have to synthesise a serum to lower his levels of testosterone…
He had to find a way to stop.
As minutes ticked by, he decided to check your bio readings on his watch. Your heart rate had lowered significantly, indicating him you were now asleep.
The predator in him took control again and he paced towards his bedroom, opening the door just enough to check on you.
Fast asleep.
He walked in with careful steps, finally taking in the sight of you on his bed.
The floor-to-ceiling windows allowed for the faintest moonlight to be cast on you.
He felt his heart was about to implode as he drew near, slowly sitting by the edge of the mattress.
You lay on your back, breathing evenly and covered up to your waist with a blanket.
Miguel took a deep and shaky breath.
You smelled of him and his bedsheets smelled of you.
Such a powerful and dangerous combination, that he almost considered gripping his cock.
Bur decided against it.
Instead, he say there, staring at you, absorbing every single detail of your body.
His hand twitched as an itch took over it.
An itch he had to scratch.
He reached out to graze the back of one finger along your forearm, feeling your warmth coating his skin.
His sweet girl…
His imagination ran wild and he had hoped he could have fucked you to sleep, not sliding out of you, making sure you’d take his seed.
Pain swallowed him whole as despair settled.
What if he never managed to make you his?
What if you decided you wanted nothing more than a friendship?
How could he cope?
Suddenly, you flinched and rolled to your side and heaved a deep sigh. “Oh, Tom…”
Miguel was left petrified and his blood ran cold.
Who the fuck was Tom?

Caroline: Soooo, are you going to Beach-Themed Restaurant tonight? It’s ladies’ night! Music, dancing, they’ve got fake palm treeeeeees! Marideth: Oh, yeah. I’d rather die. Caroline: Cooooool, can I catch a ride? Pick me up at six! Ooh! And bring plenty of cash. I’m gonna need at least five or six appe-TEE-zers!
Drew: Just explain to me what you were trying to do when this happened. Tommy: Well, I was in Barbados, hanging a picture on the wall. Drew: Ok, that tells me everything I need to know.
Mel: [examining the new lizards at Paws & Claws] Those things look straight out of the creature shop from some low-to-no-budget horror film.
[Remy is hugging a tree at Mel's request. Mel is trying to convince Remy that both of them were trees in their past lives.] Mel: Keep on hugging it. Remy: How did you get me to do this in the first place? Mel: Hug it. Hug it. Remy: And why do I continue to do it? Mel: Keep on hugging it. Hug it down. Remy: I don’t even like this tree that much.
Tommy: As for you, Kyle, I don't have a car. You ever see me in a car? No. Bye.
Jessica: We can form a band and become WORLDWIDE STARLETS! Caroline: Worldwide starlets get MUCH boys. Jessica: Or so I have read. Obviously, I'll sing and pretend to play guitar. Mel: Can I not get stuck playing bass? Jessica: No way!
Tommy: Er…why are you dressed like a ship’s captain? Drew: I thought that I heard that it was the latest style.
Tommy: Scott, I’m borrowing this milk for an undisclosed period of time.
Marideth: I love that blue screen. It is also my dawg.
Caroline: I dreamt that I was a French long-jump champion with eight wooden legs.
Remy: [responding to a snarky TikTok comment] Oh, Simone. You seem like a really nice girl, so I’ll answer your question relatively free of charge.
[Mel and Ashley are playing Mario Kart again for the first time in years, with palpable flirtatious undertones] Mel: You better beat this end boss or we’re all gonna die! We’re all gonna die! Ashley: AAAAH! It keeps making me jump when I’m not pressing juuuuump! Mel: OR WE’RE ALL GONNA DIIIIIIEEE
[In a flashback, Kurt and Amy recount the moment they first suspected that ABA was not the right choice] ABA therapist: Ok, Drew, then what’s two plus two? Drew (age five): Well, the force between any two charges is equal to the absolute value of the multiple of the charges divided by 4π times the vacuum permittivity times the distance squared between the two charges. ABA therapist: No, no, no, stupid. That’s Coulomb’s Law. Drew: Oh, right, sorry. Two plus two? That’s easy. Twenty-two.

Part One
And then the darkness engulfed me, I didn't know how long the darkness engulfed me at all, But what I knew was I am dead. Well thats what I thought at first.
Y/n's eyes slowly opened as she held her head, It was aching In pain, As the light proceeds to penetrated her sight resulting to her yelping In pain and suddenly Y/n felt a warm embrace, she slowly looked at who It was, Her eyes widen as she saw who It was.
Y/n's heart was pounding she never felt something like this at all "Mi-miguel?" Y/n looked at him shocked after all it was her husband, but , Something wasn't right for her.
He was wearing a dark blue suit with a red spider In his chest with some red strips around the blue suit, He looked up to Y/n gently as he smiled at her, he sat up straight and put a hand onto her cheek as he carressed her cheek as he sweetly whispered "Mi vida..." He smiled as Y/n then suddenly remember everything "wheres Estella?" Y/n whispered as she looked at him, she at looked at Miguel like she's about to have a mental breakdown.
Miguel slowly tilt his head In confusion "Estella? What do you mean my dear?" Y/n looked at him angrily as she felt wet tears fall down her face "MIGUEL WHERES THE KIDS!?" Y/n angrily yelled asking as she looked at Miguel angrily as she started sob at the same time.
Miguel slowly pulled Y/n into a hug "Mi vida..do mean the baby?"Miguel put his finger on Y/n's chin tilting it up for her look at him "don't worry our baby is safe..am happy that you both.. survived the car crashed.." Miguel whispered softly as he smiled "what do you mean?" Y/n asked as she looked at him confused as she felt his palm on her cheek wiping her tears away "mi amor..you were In car crash remember?...we had an argument because of me..spending less time with you...am so sorry.." Miguel reluctantly said before pulling Y/n Into a tight hug, As then Y/n realized something he wasn't her cheating bastard of a husband this version of him Is definitely a variant of him.
Y/n Looked around at the building it was filled with spider people, She thought, She will never see this many spidermen and spiderwomen in her life.
Y/n was scared and nervous as then she felt Miguel's hand Intertwined with hers as he smiled at her reassuringly then she heard a familiar voice that she never thought she will hear again "Oh hey Miguel! Am so happy that your wife recovered!" It was Jessica she approaches the couple as she waves her hand while her other hand was resting ontop of her stomach
"...." Y/n didn't greet Jessica back as she look at Miguel as doubt started to enter her mind "hnm? Whats wrong dear?.." Miguel looked at her worriedly as she look at him as she shrugged her shoulders pretending she didn't know Jessica at all "oh..well shes Jessica Drew my dear! And she’s from another universe" Miguel smiled at Y/n as he rub the lower part of her back gently, while Y/n just nodded.
"Oh hey!" A guy with brown hair with a baby carrier on him greeted as he approaches Y/n and Miguel In his office "Oh Its Peter.." Miguel looks at him up and down "Are you here to piss me off again?" Miguel said as he rubs the bridge of his nose and sighed "No not at all!" Peter said as he waves his hand In denial as he smiled as then a web was shooted onto Y/n's baby bump as a little girl follows towards It, before the little girl clashed onto Y/n's baby bump Miguel gently caught the kid "Peter how about you take care of your daughter before she hurt’s my wife?" Miguel said as Y/n look at the near to be toddler.
Mayday was adorable as she looks at Y/n and babbles happily, Y/n gently tapped Miguel’s shoulder before he can give the little girl to Peter "Can I hold her?" Y/N asked softly, Miguel's eyes soften as he nodded and gave Mayday to Y/n and showed a slight smile that only Y/n can notice "Sure my love here.." Miguel said as he handed Y/n the little girl.
Now that Y/n held the little girl in her arms she giggled and kissed her forehead "What’s her name?" Y/n asked gently as she looked at Miguel and Peter "Mayday!" Peter said while smiling, As then Peter went to Miguel's side as they watch Y/n playing with Mayday.
"Hey,did your wife forgot us?.."Peter whispered to Miguel as Miguel sighed and crossed his arms around his chest "She seems like she forgotten most of you but the only thing she remembers is Lyla, me, and Jessica...It's seems like...she had a memory loss.." Miguel said to Peter quietly but enough for Peter to hear.
Everything for Miguel O'Hara Is tiring and exhausting, But his darling wife Y/n is there for him!, He loves her for coming Into his life and giving him a home to go to after his missions as Spiderman, But then his work started to get tiring and harder to finish quickly these days, to the point he couldn't come back home to the loving arms of his darling wife.
Miguel sighed as he arrived home his wife Is there waiting for him, He smiled gently as he saw her and her pregnant figure, His darling wife was pregnant with their soon to be first child.
"Ah! my dear why are you waiting for me? Come here! I've missed you!" Miguel said to his wife as he spreads his arms out to his wife, but she didn't embraced him like she always does, "Miguel I know that your busy about being the leader of the Spider Society and as The Spiderman here In our universe..but..you started to spend more less time with me.." Y/n said to Miguel monochromely as her arms Is wrapped around her pregnant stomach gently "Dear..I'm sorry..Its just those people wouldn't listened to what I ordered them! If only they did what I told them properly, My job would be more easier!..." Miguel said as he explained his situation while he approached his wife who sighed at his explaination.
"Miguelito..still It doesn't excuse that the fact your arent here for 1 month! And am pregnant too with our baby! And you left me alone! I was 3 months pregnant when you left and now am 4 months pregnant! I feel like you.. might even missthe birth of our child..." Y/n said to Miguel as she looks away, Miguel looked at her In utter shock "Is that how you view me? Someone that Ignores their love ones?.." Miguel said to Y/n his voice getting upset.
What made him so upset to the point he stormed away and went back to the Headquarters is Y/n nodding her head and saying to him "Yes thats what am feeling right now I felt like I dont even have a husband...".
A few days went by, Miguel continues to Ignore his wife, offended of what she told him, One Afternoon Miguel was checking some video files of other anomalies of another universe, Suddenly the video file froze making Miguel growl angrily and barks Lyla's name thinking she's doing another silly prank on him, "Lyla!! What the hell did you do!??? Do you think this is funny!???" Miguel said angrily calling his AI assistants name while his hand are at his temple.
“Miguel.." Lyla appeared but she didn't have her smug smirk on her face instead It was pity she looks at Miguel pityfully "Miguel...your wife..shes In the hospital...she was..Involved In a car crash accident...this afternoon..shes In a coma..her and the baby survived miraclely and..your needed to be her side right away.."Lyla said to Miguel with pity as Miguel looks at Lyla shocked and scared.
Miguel ran through the hospital corridors to see his darling wife, As then Miguel finally stopped infront of his wife’s hospital door room as he was breathing heavily, Miguel opens the door and was greeted by his wife's bruised up and beaten form, Miguel sat next to his wife as he looks at her with regret, guilt, and sadness, He cups his wife's cheek as he sighed heavily he knows this wouldn't happen If he didn't ignored his darling wife, A few hours passed and then Miguel saw his wife's eyes flutters as then she slowly opened her eyes...
Authors note:I really enjoyed writing Miguel i made this part two around like the beginning of this month or around like last month but since I am graduating, I decided to take a pause because I really need to memorize my speech for my sixth grade graduation! Hoped you guys enjoyed it!

↱ a day of bonding ↰
➘ summary : Jessica and her daughter have a wonderful day out and about
➘ Jessica Drew x reader , Spiderman into the spiderverse x reader
The sun shone brightly over the bustling streets of New York City as Jessica Drew, also known as Spider-Woman, strolled hand in hand with her daughter, (Y/N). It was a rare day off from the responsibilities of being a hero, and Jessica had planned a special girls' day out for the two of them.
"(Y/N), are you excited about our shopping day?" Jessica asked, her blue eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
(Y/N)'s face lit up with a wide smile. "Definitely, Mom! I can't wait to see all the cool places you want to take me."
As they walked down the crowded sidewalk, Jessica led (Y/N) to a boutique known for its unique and eclectic fashion. The shop was filled with colorful displays of clothing, accessories, and whimsical items that caught their attention.
The mother-daughter duo spent hours trying on outfits, giggling as they swapped opinions on various styles. (Y/N) twirled in front of the mirror, her eyes shining with excitement.
"Mom, look at this dress! It's like something out of a fairy tale!" (Y/N) exclaimed, her fingers trailing over the delicate fabric.
Jessica grinned, nodding in approval. "You've got a great eye, sweetheart. It suits you perfectly."
After making their selections, they moved on to a trendy café nearby. They sat at a cozy corner table, sipping on their drinks and indulging in delicious pastries.
"(Y/N), tell me about your dreams and aspirations. What do you want to be when you grow up?" Jessica asked, her gaze focused on her daughter.
(Y/N) pondered for a moment before responding, her eyes alight with determination. "I want to be like you, Mom. A hero who helps people and makes a difference."
Jessica's heart swelled with pride, and she reached across the table to gently touch (Y/N)'s hand. "You've got a heart of gold, just like your mom. And remember, you can be anything you set your mind to."
After their café adventure, Jessica and (Y/N) ventured to a nearby park, enjoying the warmth of the sun on their skin as they lounged on a blanket. They chatted about everything under the sun, from their favorite movies to the most memorable moments in (Y/N)'s life so far.
As the day drew to a close, Jessica pulled out a small gift from her bag and handed it to (Y/N) with a grin. "I thought you might like this."
(Y/N) unwrapped the gift to find a delicate silver necklace with a spider-shaped pendant. Her eyes widened in surprise and delight. "Mom, it's beautiful!"
"It's a reminder that you've got a strong spirit, just like a spider," Jessica explained, her voice soft and affectionate.
Touched by the sentiment, (Y/N) hugged her mother tightly. "Thank you, Mom. Today has been amazing. I love spending time with you."
Jessica hugged her back, her heart overflowing with love for her daughter. "I cherish every moment we have together, (Y/N). You're my greatest joy."
As the sun set over the city, Jessica and (Y/N) made their way back home, their hearts full of cherished memories and the unbreakable bond between a hero mother and her aspiring hero daughter.
As Jessica and (Y/N) returned home after their delightful girls' day out, the warm embrace of their apartment enveloped them in a sense of comfort and familiarity. Jessica's husband, Peter, also known as Spider-Man, was busy reading a newspaper on the couch, but he looked up with a smile as they entered.
"Well, well, well, look who's back from their big adventure," Peter teased, setting aside the newspaper.
(Y/N) grinned, excitement still dancing in her eyes. "Dad, you won't believe all the fun we had today!"
Peter raised an eyebrow playfully. "Oh, really? Well, tell me all about it."
With enthusiasm, (Y/N) launched into a lively account of their day, recounting their shopping spree, their time at the café, and their leisurely moments at the park. Her words painted a vivid picture of the laughter, bonding, and heartfelt conversations they'd shared.
"And then, Mom gave me this beautiful spider necklace as a surprise!" (Y/N) exclaimed, holding up the pendant for her father to see.
Peter's eyes sparkled as he observed the necklace. "That's a special gift, (Y/N). Your mom knows how to make moments unforgettable."
(Y/N) nodded, her smile radiant. "She really does. I love spending time with her, and today was so much fun."
Peter reached out and ruffled (Y/N)'s hair affectionately. "I'm glad you had a great time. Your mom has a way of making ordinary moments extraordinary."
Jessica chimed in, her voice filled with warmth. "And your dad knows a thing or two about that as well."
Peter chuckled, his expression fond. "Well, we both learned from the best."
As the family settled into the cozy living room, (Y/N) nestled between her parents, the sense of togetherness and love palpable in the air. In that moment, they were a trio of heroes who found strength and joy in each other's company.
"(Y/N), never forget that we're always here for you, no matter what," Peter said, his gaze locked on his daughter's eyes.
(Y/N) leaned into her parents' embrace, feeling their unwavering support surrounding her. "I know, Dad. I'm lucky to have both of you."
The evening continued with laughter, stories, and a shared sense of contentment. As the night grew darker, the bond between Jessica, Peter, and (Y/N) remained unbreakable—a testament to the power of love, family, and the adventures they faced together.

Beast Miguel o'Hara
Synopsis - After you sister leaves you to hang with your boss, both his and your lives becoming a waking nightmare
Pairing - Yandere! Miguel o’Hara x Fem! Reader
Featuring - Jessica Drew but the black version cause I luv black women
Tags and Warnings - Stalking, Kidnapping, Violence towards reader
Authors Note - I LUV HIM SM MY GOD. I HADDD TO WRITE SOMETHING. Also I believe this contains slight spoilers??? I think???
A friendly reminder that all my works are dark fanfiction! Please if you do not like that do not read them! This is your final warning before hitting the keep reading button!!
“Jess! Are you sure it's okay that I'm here? I'm not really spider-like.” You followed behind your sister, her afro swinging as she walked. You fiddled with the band she gave you in order to keep you from glitching out.
It was all so casual, and almost everyone greeted her. The architecture was other worldy, almost only to benefit the inhabitants. Speaking of, there was many, too many to count. 2D, 3D, Male, Female, Pigs, Horses, Cats, almost anything imaginable.
While you looked at it all in amazement, they all looked at you, and gave you dirty and worried looks. At least thats what it looked like under their masks.
“Oh Miguel won't like this…”
“I didn't know they allowed just anyone up here?”
“I mean Peter B brings his daughter so I guess it's a pass."
“I just know Miguel doesn't like anything new. He might bare his fangs or something. You know that guy and sacre tactics.”
You shuddered at the way they spoke of this Miguel guy. But you kept following behind Jessica until she came to a huge hatch, in which opened up on her walking up.
“Miguel!”
“What do you need Jessica, aren't you supposed to be on a mission?”
“I do, but I need you to do a favor!” Jessica yelled, shoving your shoulder to push you ahead. “My sister is visiting from college in my dimension. I need someone to watch over her and I trust you'll do that without letting her get hurt.”
You finally looked up seeing a sharp jawed man looking down at you. His spider suit glew a dark blue with bright red highlights. His brown hair was pushed back, framing his face perfectly. Not only that, but he was huge, built like a giant.
He came down from his workspace, now closer to you than ever. His chest was too your face and you had to look up too look at him. He seemingly almost over analyzed you, eyes trialing up and down your form. “Fine. Just go handle the situation.”
Jessica raised a brow and crossed her arms. “Fine? Just fine? You usually aren't just okay with this type of stuff. You sur-”
“Your questioning my decisions?” Miguel said his stature becoming stiff, seemingly fed up with her constant questioning.
“No… just wondering. Don't have too much fun you two.” Jessica said giving you a small hug before walking off. As the hatch door closed, Miguel's hand went to your back, ushering you to walk with him.
“I'll give you a chair so you can stay within my sight. I don't want to lose you.” You nodded, watching as he turned away from you, going back to his work. A chair was pushed your direction, and when you finally got to sitting down the cushioned seat almost swallowed you whole. You could take a nap if you wanted too, it was just that comfortable. And you almost did, until you were pulled from your rest with a deep voice.
“Did she tell you, or did you piece it together?”
“Huh?"
“Jessica. Did you just figure out she was Spider-Woman?”
Miguel's hands just kept working, his focus divided between talking to you and his work. “To be honest, I just figured it out. When I asked her if what I thought was true, she just seemed relieved and told me everything.”
Miguel seemed surprised at this making a strange humming noise. “You two must be very close huh?”
“Yeah. I wouldn't trade the world for the bond me and her share. I'm glad she trusted me enough to tell me about that side of her life. From what she told me, Spiderman doesn't usually tell people about what he does. It's refreshing you know… I'm sorry am I rambling too much?”
“No. Your fine, I'm actually enjoying the company. I'm in here by myself most of the time. It's nice to hear another voice.” You gave him a small smile in which he returned, smirking at you. He stopped working and his screens switched off. “What do you do for fun?”
“Me? Fun? Uhh I don't know. I'm a college student with just about 0 connections. I guess reading?” You finally chased for a reply.
“LYLA get someone to bring me a book from the library. Hell bring two.” Miguel said, finally an AI woman popping up. She teased him a bit before finally having someone bring you two books. Miguel then sat down next too you beginning to open one of the books he brought.
“Your willing to read with me?”
“Yeah. I need to get my mind off of things anyway.”
🩸
Once Jessica had picked you up, Miguel felt weird. He knew you were attractive. Like very attractive. But that wasn't normal for him. He usually didn't see attraction in people.
Something else he also knew was that when he was around you he felt comfortable. He had no worries and you took them all away. It was a feeling he could only recall when he was with his “daughter.” He'd let you snuggle up close too him, physical touch being something he hadn't felt in a while.
“LYLA. I need you to pull any information on Jessica Drew's sister. It can be from any dimension, I just need to know everything.” Miguel basically ordered the ai. She popped up in front of him, with that same smug look she always gave when questioning his any of his decisions.
“Why would you need that?! It's not like she's ever going to get bitten by a radioactive spider.” LYLA said bringing up a huge collection of information she'd found on you in a heartbeat. “But hey I'll indulge this. Let's see, she's almost always college student, future looks like a journalist, ooh she's judgemental! And just about always single. Seems like her connection to Jessica Drew is always the sisterly role.”
Miguel fell more and more in love the more LYLA talked. “Send all that too my computer.”
“Gotcha! Hopefully this will help you.” LYLA said dissipating away. Miguel stared at the picture of you on one of the screens.
He had to have you. At any means necessary.
🩸
You'd finally saved up for a apartment to where you could stay without the need for dorm mates.
Being a journalism major meant you needed all the focus you could get. And you couldn't find that when around all those people. So you left.
Usually you wrote uplifting pieces for your sister as her and the press don't usually get along well. Even though your pretty sure she knows you wrote majority of her good stories, you also know she'd smile seeing that people appreciated her work.
As you were turned around and began slicing open a box to unpack in your room, a voice boomed from your window. “Hi sweetheart.” From across your room stood a towering Miguel o’Hara. He crawled his way into your room, shutting the window behind him.
“Umm hi Miguel. Are you looking for Jess? She's not here i-” Miguel cut you off.
“I'm not looking for her. I was actually looking for you. I came to talk to you about something.” Miguel started moving closer, slowly stepping towards you. He ducked past your light fixture, finally truly Intimidating you. Something about the way he was coming towards you frightened you. His size almost made it worse.
“Oh. Well of course. You can talk to me about anything.” You trailed off putting your knife to the side, giving Miguel your undivided attention
“I want you to come live with me. At the headquarters. No one has to know. Not even your sister.” He said causally. He was right on you, making you trip and buckle to fall on your bed. You looked up at him, pushing yourself further into the bed.
“That's, crazy Miguel. I can't that, I'm a college student! I don't even know you enough for that!”
"But I know you. I've studied you. Every possibility of you. I know more about you than you know yourself!" You let out a small gasp. This man had been essentially stalking you.
"Miguel. That makes it even worse, the last answer is no. And.... And I need you to go."
“You just don't get it do you?” Miguel's hand hit the wall, claws digging and dragging in the drywall. “I don't think you understand I'm not asking you to do anything. This is me telling you.”
And with that you kicked against him, trying to immobile him at any means possible. You had to find Jessica.
But he grabbed your wrist, trying to drag you to your window. He hoisted you up to his shoulder like you weighed nothing.
“Let go! Let go of me, Jess! Jess please!!” You began to scream out for your sister seeing if maybe, just maybe she was around to help you.
But she wasn't.
No one was.
You started to beat on Miguel's back. He was now out of your window and climbing up the side of your apartment, heading to the roof. “You better stop fighting, this is destiny. Our destiny.” When he finally made it to the roof he put you down and a hexagonal portal appeared as he messed around with his arm band. You began to heave on impact with the hot concrete. Miguel then turned back towards you, watching in amusement as you dragged yourself slowly to get away from him.
“What are you doing?!” Miguel's head snapped as he stared at LYLA who now stood in front of him at full height. “Your pulling the exact same thing you tried before this, before you made the society! Made me!”
"You don't understand. You will never understand."
"I understand more than you will ever know. You need to stop. And you need to stop now!"
You took this as a opening to crawl your way to the nearest side of the building. You could hear Miguel snarl and yell at Layla. But you tried to pay no mind to that as you looked down over the right edge of the building. You saw a metal of the top apartments stairway.
Fuck this would hurt.
Your body hit the metal with a loud bang, the adrenaline wore off as you finally felt all the bruises and gashes you gotten. “Fuck, my god. Jess… Spider-Woman! Plea-” You felt a hand on the back of your neck. Claws dug in to the front, slightly nicking at your neck.
“Where are you going?”
Miguel picked up your body like you weighed nothing. He then carried and slammed you against the nearby wall. When trying to move your hand to tap on the glass pane, Miguel's other hand grabbed at your wrist, immobilizing you. “Miguel please don't do this! Jessica, she's going to look for me I know it jus-”
“Shh My Love… this won't hurt a bit.” Miguel barred his fangs at you opening wide and moving to your neck. And before you could protest he bit deep into it, venom seeping into your veins. You felt woozy, and realized you couldn't move an inch. Just how he wanted you.
“It's all going to be okay Mi Vida. I know exactly what you need... A family. And not just any family. A family with me."

could you do tom holland x fem!actress!reader
On Jimmy Kimmel interview, Tom was in backstage, Jimmy called him out. He take a seat. So Jimmy talked about Spider-Man No Way Home trailer (no more spoiler) also Jimmy would like another special guest was y/n. He was so surprise until he hugged her. They talked about each other
honestly, i don't have a lot of inspo for tom/this isn't usually something i'd write but i still wanted to do it just for u, anon 💌 yes, i got carried away. yes, this basically wrote itself.
pairing: tom holland x fem!actress!reader
warnings: mentions of alcohol, some suggestiveness maybe?
wc: 1.7k
a/n: one thing i realized while writing this is that i could never be famous or go on a talk show unless my PR team was okay with me acting exactly how aubrey plaza does in any setting.
“Our guest tonight is starring in one of the most highly anticipated movies this year, has taken America by the storm… or his webs rather, the man behind your favorite friendly-neighborhood Spiderman… please welcome Tom Holland!”
The crowd erupts into applause as Tom takes the stage, smiling with his pearly whites flashing the audience. He looks damn good in that suit, you think. He took your advice and wore a silk floral underneath, much to his begrudging that you were just trying to make him look more like Harry Styles.
“Hey Jimmy! It’s good to see you again.”
“Ah, always a pleasure, Tom,” Jimmy grins.
************************************
After a bit of banter and showing clips from the the No Way Home trailer, your attention has piqued to the television when your name comes up. Sipping your glass of lemon water in the green room, your eyes twinkle at the blush that creeps onto Tom’s face.
“Anyone in Hollywood you’d like to work with? Perhaps a fellow celebrity crush?” Jimmy asks, wiggling his eyebrows.
“Uh, probably Y/N Y/L/N,” Tom replies almost too quickly, nonchalantly sipping his water afterwards so he can block out the blush on his cheeks. It doesn’t make much of a difference — Kimmel’s caught him in his trap. “I mean, I worked with her because she had a smaller part in Cherry but we actually became pretty close.”
“Oh for sure, she’s absolutely beautiful. Zendaya’s MJ may have a run for her money if Y/N ever enters the MCU.”
“Hmm, I feel like you’re trying to get some information out of me, Jimmy.”
“Some rumors have been spreading around that the MCU may feature a female Spiderman… do you have any idea about that?”
“Well, Jimmy, if I did, I’m sure there’s somewhere in my contract that I get shot on-sight if I say anything,” Tom giggles. The crowd echoes his laughter.
“Well, Twitter definitely has some theories floating around.” Jimmy clicks the remote and the giant screen behind them fills with Twitter screenshots.
@hollandsgrl: i loveeee MJ but ill smack a b*tch to get the role of jessica drew any day to be close to tom
@tomspider23: did you guys see that leaked promo???? either peter parker’s grown some boobs or spider-woman is entering the multiverse.
@kingdomholland: OMG TOM AND Y/N ARE SO CUTE TOGETHER
Below the tweet is an image of the two of you both in in your Spider-suits with friends, seemingly for a planned Halloween party. The room is filled with “oooooohh’s” as Tom covers his face.
“Well, well, well, maybe this has confirmed it?”
“Oh my god, she decided to be cheeky and dress as Spiderman for the Halloween party. Kind of looks better on her, though, doesn’t it?” The look on Tom’s face is pure adoration. “It’s really funny actually, y/n and I were texting and she was like, kind of refusing to come because she didn’t have a costume. And I was like no, no, just put on some cat ears or something it doesn’t matter! And then I get to my own house because I’d had dinner with an agent that ran late and there she is in my kitchen dressed as me. It was just like that meme of the Spiderman pointing fingers.”
“Sounds like hell of a couples’ costume, then, right?” Jimmy teases. More laughter ensues and a bashful Tom hides behind his hands. A crew member enters the green room and gestures to you — you’re bound to get on stage within the next five minutes. Smoothing your dress, you glance in the mirror one last time to make sure your red lipstick is intact.
You walk onto the stage carefully and smile softly to the audience, putting a finger to your mouth to shush them. Despite this, some gasps come out, and Tom’s face becomes bewildered. “Sheesh, you guys are really all planning my wedding, aren’t you?”
“Can’t blame ‘em with all these paparazzi photos.” Jimmy clicks his remote again to show pictures of the two of you out and about in London. In one blurry picture that was posted on Jacob’s Instagram, you’re flashing a smile at the camera posing in front of Tom, who’s attempting to take back the attention with a hand on your waist.
“Please, Y/N is always trying to steal my thunder.”
“This is true,” you say bluntly into Tom’s ear, to which he yells immediately and puts up his fist. Everyone in the room is laughing and clapping with some “awww’s” as Tom clutches his chest in relief when he sees you, immediately ushering you onto the couch with a bear hug.
“Can’t even have my own interview. The star of the show is really here. Ladies and gentlemen, Y/N L/N!” Tom exclaims, clapping and grinning as you twirl around to show off your knee-length golden dress. You look like a mixture of Zoe Kravitz and Taylor Swift VMA-core. He can’t take his eyes off you and pretends how to be casual completely, considering his arm is already resting on your shoulders. “Jesus, I thought you were still in London.”
“I had to surprise my favorite human spider,” you beam, squeezing his knee.
“Oh, man, are you guys gonna have souvenirs at your wedding? Save me a seat,” Jimmy chuckles.
“Behave, Jimmy,” you challenged. “You know what happened last time you said something like that about my one of my alleged lovers. We don’t wanna curse poor Tommy here.”
Jimmy’s eyes widen as he laughs along with the audience. You’re indirectly referring to your last boyfriend, a B-list actor that co-starred with you on a cancelled television show, who’s been up to his neck in scandals recently. Luckily, the press was focused on you and Tom and the romance that was blossoming between the two of you, though you still played coy when the two of you would be in public like this.
“So, Y/N, will we be seeing you in No Way Home or perhaps a future MCU movie?” Jimmy asks.
“Hard to say. Not sure if I could work with Tom on a big deal like that. Kid’s a piece of work, begging the crew members for juice box after juice box.”
Tom groans, putting his head in his hands. “Oh, god, Anthony started a smear campaign against me!”
“But given the chance, I’d definitely love to be Cindy Moon one day. Silk is just an awesome character. Or even Spider-Gwen. I used to pretend I was the one cuddling up to Andrew Garfield back in the day. He’s just so… dreamy.”
“Better be careful, Holland. You’ve got competition,” Jimmy retorts.
“Oh, please, I’ve already thrown a few punches to him on-screen,” Tom defends. You and Jimmy look at each other, raising your eyebrows before bursting into laughter.
“You’re getting in so much trouble.”
“What, was that a spoiler? Oh, c’mon, the entire internet and their mother must know!”
************************************
“This is still a PG-13 rated show, so these concoctions aren’t… too alcoholic,” Jimmy explains, setting down small glasses filled with colorful liquor mixed with God knows what.
“Aw,” you pout, to which Tom playfully smacks your shoulder.
“Okay, kids, classic Truth or Dare, but with a twist! You either answer the question if you get a question, do the dare if you get a dare. If you can’t do either, you’ve gotta drink!”
“Seems relatively easy. I’m a daredevil and an open book,” Tom nods, smiling. His accent is honey-sweet. It’s been weeks since you’ve seen him in person. Maybe you were already intoxicated.
“Daredevil, huh? This one couldn’t even make it through Hereditary,” you tease. The crowd laughs.
“Okay, Y/L/N, you’re on!”
“Tom, you’re up first.”
Tom takes a card from the stack and reads it aloud. “Truth: What was the last thing you Googled?”
“Oh, jesus,” he sighs, taking out his phone. “Get your mind out of the gutter, everyone!”
You peer over his shoulder. “Wooooow. He really typed in ‘Y/N Y/L/N bikini pics.”
“Not true!” Tom flashes his iPhone to the audience. The camera zooms in, showing the television a menu for Nando’s. “Sorry mates, not that exciting. Your turn, Y/N.”
You take a card and grin when you read it in your head. “Dare: Pants the player of your choice.”
Without a warning, you unbutton Tom’s slacks and push them to his knees. Your attack left him surprised and a bit dizzy because he nearly falls over himself trying to get you to not succeed, but now his milky thighs are on display for the whole world and everyone in the room is hollering. His face is red, although he can’t stop laughing. He rubs his hand with his face. “She really thinks this is the Olympics.”
After a few rounds, the both of you are significantly tipsier after some raunchy questions and requests to eat some very weird food (you’re not a total pussy, you did try the pig’s feet and it wasn’t half bad). Tom’s pants are still around his ankles. It’s easy to notice how much he keeps staring at you, watching your mouth move or looking your way for approval when he answers a truth or does a dare.
It’s the final round and you take your card. “Dare: smooch the person immediately to your left.”
Jimmy knew exactly what he was doing with your standing positions, and hell, maybe your publicists told you and Tom to wait it out, but you love the attention. Your head’s spinning and there’s nothing more you want than to feed your body those endorphins. Tom raises his eyebrows when he hears the prompt and hands you a glass. You take it, raising it to your mouth as he pouts in exaggeration. In the last minute you put it down and kiss him square on the mouth — not too passionately, that was for later — and the audience is cheering like the two of you had just won the Superbowl. They may as well have given you a standing ovation. You pull away to see Tom’s shiny teeth set in what could be a permanent smile, sheepishly looking away as he pulls his pants back up.
“There you have it, folks, Tom Holland and Y/N and Y/L/N!” Jimmy marveled. “Keep a look out for Spiderman: No Way Home, out December 17th!”

Part 8
Hi! Here's part 8😉 this is a bit shorter, because I wanted to leave the main event for the next chapter 😏🥰

Also.. I wanted to write some Eddie Munson stories too, since we gotta wait a month for Stranger Things volume 2 I thought... why not? Let me know what you think, please.
You can also send request if you'd like.
I got some burns on my arms and legs, but nothing serious, thankfully. The nurses wrapped my wounds in bandages and now I'm drinking some tea from the machine with Natalie as we wait for Heather to wake up.. hopefully soon.
"I couldn't do anything." Natalie says, looking at her now empty cup.
"That's not your fault, Nat, don't blame yourself for something you had no power on" I say hugging her.
"I just.." she sigh.
"Just nothing. You got out and told us, you warned us she was still in.. the house was already crashing. No one could do more than that" I tell her.
"Ugh" she groans.
"C'mon let's go see if she's awake" I take her hand leading her to Heather hospital room.
Heather is, thankfully, awake.
"Oh my god, Heather" Natalie quickly sit on her bed to hug her.
"Hey, thank goodness you're okay" I say sitting with them.
"God.. I couldn't even think. I.. you helped me get out. I couldn't.. I couldn't get to you" she says, apologising. "And you saved me"
"Hey, hey it's okay. Really. Really." Heather reassures her.
"We were caught by surprise by the fire. There's wasn't much we could do" I tell them.
"You got back in.. to look for us both" Natalie grabs my hand.
"Yeah.. I mean.. I couldn't let you leave me alone with Bishop here" I joke.
"Hey!" Bishop fakes offence.
"I love you, you know that"
"Yeah yeah, keep playing with my emotions" he jokes too.
This makes both Natalie and Heather laugh a little, at least.
"I go check up on Dodge, now. Okay?" I slowly stand up.
"Yeah, okay"
"But if you want I stay, really, I can call him later...I..."
"Go see him" Heather nods towards the door with a little smile.
"Okay" I say, walking out and to Dodge's room.
As I walk to his room in the hospital I hear
him talking.
"No, I wasn't playing a game. Believe me, sergeant, I can think of better ways to get myself killed" He's talking to sergeant Langley, I think.
I arrive at the door standing there.
"Oh, miss L/n, how are your wounds?" She kindly asks.
"They're okay. Nothing serious. Thanks for asking" I smile at her.
"Can I ask you too why you kids were there in the first place?" She asks.
"Well, isn't a tradition to celebrate graduation at Graybill's House? We were having a small party and then.. I don't know what happened the fire started. Maybe some beer was dropped on something.. I don't know, I'm sorry" I lie. It's the version we all agreed to.
"Mh" is all she say. "Well.. it's good to see you kids are okay"
She comes to exit the room but before she actually does she turns to me.
"Don't play hero again though, it could've cost you a lot" she says, with a kind, yet firm, tone.
"I'll try, sergeant" I smile again at her, who simply nods and walks away.
"Hey you, hi Mrs... uhm.. Jessica" I correct myself as soon as I see her 'I told you to call me Jessica' look.
"Hey yourself" Dodge smiles.
"Hi, Y/n. Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah, just scratches, don't worry"
"Thank you. For taking him out" Jessica says coming beside me to give me a hug.
"Oh.. how.. how do you know?" I nervously chuckle.
"Drew.. I think his name was, told me" she says " so thank you"
"Ray helped too, I mean.. I couldn't lift him all by myself. But no need to thank me.." I smile at her and then turn to Dodge.
"How about you? How do you feel?" I ask him.
"Oh you know.. just a scratch" he teases.
"I'm serious" I say, letting out a small laugh though.
"I'll let you two talk" with that Jessica walks out.
"I'm okay, I promise. But..." he moves a bit to the side "I'll feel even better if my savior sits beside me"
I playfully roll my eyes and sit beside him.
"I'm happy you're okay" I tell him.
"All thanks to you. You gotta let me thank you this time.. I mean.. you saved my life" he says.
"Not alone though" I tell him.
"Yeah yeah, I'll thank him too...someday" he casually says "so.. can I thank you?"
"Fine" I chuckle.
"Thank you, Y/n" he says making a small bow with his head.
"You're welcome" I answer laughing. "You also solved the riddle, you're probably gonna get those extra points, congratulations"
"I think you solved it with me" he says.
"Nah uh.. you did it. I was just holding the torch" I smile at him.
"That's a big help" he insists, and takes my hand.
"You did great job" I tell him.
"That just mean I could definitely win and.. split my part with you"
I roll my eyes at that, he keeps insisting on this, doesn't he?
"I told you-"
"I'm gonna do whatever I want with the money, deal with it, princess" he says with a teasing smile interrupting me.
"Hey, it's not too late to put you in a coma. Also we're already at the hospital. It's very tempting, I'm warning you" I tell him.
"Mh, I'd love to see you try" he playfully nudges me.
"Don't tempt me" I tell him, again.
"Oh I will always tempt you." He leans down to my ear "in other ways, though"
I turn instantly red.
Before I could find something to say his mother comes back in. As soon as she enters her eyes are on my and Dodge's hands on his lap and a smile appears on her face just as quickly.
"Everything good?" She asks.
"Oh definitely." Dodge answers, but I feel he's watching me.
"Yeah." I smile, a bit nervously.
"Do you need a ride home?" She asks.
"Nah I'm fine. Natalie offered" I tell her getting up. Dodge doesn't let go of my hand just yet.
"Wanna come over tomorrow?" He asks me.
"I can't. I gotta cover your shifts for the week" I say.
"Why?" He wonders, looking at his mother too.
"Because you have to rest" I tell him.
"I feel fine" he states, shrugging.
"Uh uh, I won't take no for an answer. I already talk to Dot and it's arranged." I tell him.
"You..." he starts.
"I will too, so don't start thinking she's gonna do all the work" his mother reassures him.
"Exactly." I nod. "I mean.. I tried to have all the work for me, but she scares me, I had to let her get some shifts." I joke.
"Will I ever see you again?" He says dramatically.
"Never...this is the last time we'll ever see each other" I reply just as dramatically.
He just laughs and lets go of my hand.
"Text me when you can, please?" He asks.
"Of course" I smile at him "get some rest"
"Only because you're asking" Dodge smiles.
I smile back and walk out of the room.
Today I work a double shift, to cover Dodge's, who's better be home resting.
The day goes on pretty much as usual, customers coming and going, cleaning everything... twice and three time minimum.
At some point Diggins comes in with a little flower in his hand.
"Hey there" he greets.
"Hi there" I wave "who is it for?"
"Oh this? This is for someone who played hero and almost died" he says, his tone almost accusatory, but most of all worried.
"Who's this crazy person?" I ask playing innocent, not meeting his look.
He get close so the other customers won't hear us.
"You almost got yourself killed you know?" He asks.
"Oh really? I didn't notice, guess the burns and the smoke weren't enough" I say sarcastically, more to try and ease the atmosphere.
"I'm serious"
This is when I know he's not in the mood for jokes, which happens rarely.
"Well, it's not like I was the only one..." he doesn't say anything "I'm sorry" I quietly add, looking at him.
"I know" he sigh "I was so worried"
"I'm sorry" I say again lowering my eyes.
"No.. you have nothing to apologise for" he gently grabs my hand to give it a small squeeze and then lets go. "You wanted to help them, I would've been very surprised by the opposite".
"Yeah..." I sigh.
"Here, you little hero" he hands me the flower.
"Are you courting me?" I jokingly ask, hoping that his playful mood is back.
"Nah.. I know your heart belongs to someone else" he winks and I roll my eyes.
"any news from the judges?" I ask, to aim the attention to something else.
"Still nothing. I think they're waiting for times to calm down a bit more" he answers.
"Understandable."
"I'm glad you're okay" he tells me. "I was worried already for the challenge itself. I know you don't like dark places"
"I managed. I had.. support" I say smiling.
"I'm sure you did" Diggins smiles. "Told you.. he feels the same"
"What if he doesn't and this is just him being nice? Uh?" I ask him.
"It's not the case. C'mon don't panic" he says.
"Ah ah ah very funny." I sarcastically reply.
"Well that's Panic's first rule, isn't it?"
"I guess"
"Trust me." He insists.
I give him a sceptical look, but nod anyway.
"Call me if you need anything, okay?" He tells me as he head to the door.
"Sure" I wave at him as he goes out.
I go back at cleaning the counter, lost in my own thoughts until I hear the doorbell jingles so I look up to greet a new customer, but I instantly freeze as I see Ray and... his brother entering.
"Hi, baby" Ray says sitting at the counter in front of me, Luke sits just beside him.
"Hi Ray. Listen... uhm.. thank you. For Graybill.. for helping get Dodge out and for.. getting me out after." I tell him lowering my voice.
He seems surprised, and sends me an actual smile.
"No problem, how's the kid?" He tries to hide it, but I feel he was worried about Dodge, at least a tiny bit.
"He's fine, he's home resting"
"How about you, babe?" He smirks again.
"Don't call me 'babe', and I'm fine, thanks" I tell him dryly as I keep cleaning the counter.
"Wanna come over later?" He asks.
"Oh you know.. actually.. no" I say.
"You're not scared, are you, honey?" Luke finally speaks.
"Should I be?" I ask.
"Not at all, honey" he answers me.
"Don't call me 'honey'" I dryly tell him.
"C'mon, come over... I'll make it worth it" Ray says, a teasing smile on his face and his eyes looking me up and down.
"I have plans already. But even if I didn't... I would have come anyway."
"You break my heart, you know that?" He tells me.
"Oh really? Oh.. shit well in that case. Still no" I say sarcastically.
"Oh you'll change your mind soon enough" he says confidently, standing up. "I'll see you, baby"
With that he winks at me and walks out of the café, while his brother stays put.
"Do I scare you, honey?" He asks again.
"No, why?" I tell him without meeting his eyes.
"You always seem on edge when I'm near" he says "at that party, I saw you.. you were so tense. Was it because of me?" As he speaks, a mischievous smile grow on his face.
"I don't know what you mean. I just don't like parties" I explain, simply.
"Oh yeah? It seemed like you were afraid of me." He insists.
"Well, sorry to disappoint" I tell him dryly.
He suddenly stands up and I immediately take a step back, he notices.
"Oh.. don't worry. You really didn't, honey. I love that look on your face, by the way." He then says, and simply walk out too.
I take a deep breath to recollect myself and get back to work.
"We haven't heard from the judges in, like, a week." Heather says.
We're hanging out in Natalie's room, Dot let me off early, since I've been working more than usual, so I decide to catch up with them before calling Dodge.
"I know" Natalie sighs. "Does Diggins know anything at all?"
"He knows as much as we do" I shrug.
"If they call off the game, we're fucked" Heather says, worried.
"Well you want to keep playing?" Natalie asks her.
"Well, I don't want to stay in Carp. You know, I wanna apply to a real college. And I want to.. have a dorm room. And a roommate froma different state. And I want to see people that I haven't seen every day of my fucking life" she explains
"Heather, you don't need a stupid crazy game to apply to college" I tell her, trying to make her reason.
"Exactly " Natalie agrees with me.
"No, I'm poor, remember?" She says, sighing almost defeated.
"Do you remember in eighth grade when April was, like, freaking out because I was wearing Adam's sweatshirt and she thought I was hooking up with him?"
We nod.
"He donated it to Goodwill. And that's how I had it. And then I just made him swear not to tell anyone anything" she keeps explaining.
"Why would you do that? She gave you shit for weeks" Natalie asks, confused.
"Because it was better than people knowing that I never get the first pick of anything" Heather answers and walks out, ignoring us calling her back.
"What could we do now?" Natalie asks me.
"I... I don't know. I'd gladly give her all my money to help her, but she will never accept it" I slightly chuckles.
"Stubborn as hell" Natalie says, with a small smile.
"Oh yep. I remember that time, I also remember filling April's backpack with mud after how she treated Heather" I casually say.
"I remember that too." She lets out a small laugh at that too. "We'll find a way, right?"
"Of course" I smile at her.
I look at my watch and decide it's time to go home and call Dodge.
"I better get going, if I don't call Dodge today while I'm free he will complain for eternity" I joke.
"Oohh.. any plans?" She smirks. "Maybe a ride? Not necessarily on a horse"
"Nat!"
"What? As if you never thought about him like that" she winks.
"It would be just a hangout with a friend, that's it"
"Yeah.. sure, keep telling yourself that"
"I'm going, bye" I tell her.
"Say hi to your boyfriend for me" she teases.
I laugh as I walk out.
I get home quickly and change, then I call Dodge to check in on him and ask him if he wants to do something tomorrow. I think he needs to rest a bit more, so better force him somehow.
I call him as I make some tea, he answers rather quickly.
"Hey" I say.
"Hey you"
"How do you feel?"
"Good, just like the last few days, but my mother still doesn't let me go to work still"
"You want to get your shifts back?" I ask playfully.
"Oh yes, I'm gonna get my shifts back. You'll see" he jokes.
"Yeah sure, we'll see."
"I called and Dot says you went home early. Is it true?"
"Yeah, since I've been working more than usual Dot and, especially your mom, insisted on making me go. That's why I called you. To check on you and see if you want to hang out tomorrow. I can come over and watch a movie" I offer.
"Oh don't worry. I'm coming there." he suddenly says.
"Where?" I asks, confused.
"Your place"
"Why? Shouldn't you be resting?"
"I told you I'm fine, plus I don't need to rest. I need you" he states.
"I..what.."
"We need to talk. Almost there, see you soon"
With that he hangs up.
Okay... okay.. he's coming here, now? Why?
Diggins is right.. I'm scared he could break my heart, but he's not the type to do it, right? Well... not intentionally.. oh god.
Don't panic...
Don't panic...
Don't. Panic.

Chapter 10
You woke up with Spencer’s arm lazily draped over your waist. Rain was pitter-pattering against the window.
You rolled over and cuddled yourself into Spencer’s chest.
“Good morning,” he hummed contently.
“G’morning,” you sleepily mumbled.
“Is my little angel tired from last night?” he asked.
“Very,” you nodded, “Do we have to pick Callie up from her sleepover?”
“She’s staying there until after her soccer practice. I have to go back to my house and get some more clothes to bring over here but other than that, my day is wide open,” he gently stroked your hair.
“I just have two appointments later in the day so I’ll have to go into the office this afternoon,” you yawned.
“I’ll make us breakfast,” Spencer tried to shift out from underneath the covers.
“Or…” you wrapped your arms around him once again, “We can get breakfast on the way to your house and then I get some extra cuddle time.”
“Sounds good to me,” Spencer pressed a kiss to your forehead.
-
“Um hello?” Spencer asked as you both approached the woman standing at his front door.
She turned around and Spencer’s eyes practically bulged out of his head.
“Spencer!” she ran to hug him.
Spencer refused to unclasp his hand from yours, making it very clear he had no intention to return the hug.
“What are you doing here, Austin?”
Austin. This was Callie’s mother. The woman who abandoned them both.
“I’m in between jobs right now, figuring out my purpose in life, you know? I just took a bus and ended up back here again. Got me thinking I should stop by and check in,” she smiled like this was just a casual visit from a friend.
“You wanted to stop by after 11 years and no goodbye?” Spencer asked incredulously.
“I could also use a place to crash for a few days. How’s Camellia doing? Does she still do that thing where she twitches her little nose? I always loved that.”
“Don’t act like you know my daughter at all,” Spencer seethed.
“Spencer,” you got in between them, putting your hands on his chest to calm him down.
You turned to Austin, “One second.”
You led Spencer back down the steps, “Look, I know what she did was very wrong but she did give you the greatest gift of all, Callie, so maybe you could invite her over for dinner and she could just sleep on the couch for the night?”
“Just one night?” Spencer confirmed.
“If you don’t do this now, Callie will probably just track her birth mother down later in life without you there to supervise. Lots of my past foster kids have and it doesn’t always end well.”
“Fine,” Spencer relented, heading back up the front steps.
“You can stay with us for one night,” Spencer emphasized, “I will be watching you the whole time you’re with Callie.”
“Deal!” She clapped her hands excitedly.
“Hi, I’m Y/N,” you introduced yourself, opting to not give a label.
“Nice to meet you,” she replied with a sickeningly sweet smile.
She loaded her few bags of belongings into the back of the car as you and Spencer grabbed some more of his clothes from inside.
Spencer opted to drive so you headed to the passenger side. Austin grabbed the car door handle at the same time as you.
“Oh I’m sorry, were you going to sit here?” she feigned politeness.
“Yeah, I was,” you narrowed your eyes.
Spencer rolled the window down, “Austin, there’s plenty of room in the back.”
“Oh, of course!” she nodded enthusiastically.
You buckled as Spencer placed his hand on your thigh, in view of Austin. You settled in for the most awkward car ride of your life.
-
“Can’t you cancel? Please don’t leave me here with her,” Spencer begged as you got ready to go in for work.
“I would if they were just check-ups but Timmy has a rash I need to check out and I need to write a script so Jessica can get a refill on her medication. If you really don’t want to be alone with her, come with me,” you replied.
“I would but I also don’t trust her enough to leave her alone in your house,” Spencer sighed.
“I’ll be back in an hour,” you kissed him, “An hour and a half tops.”
“What do I even say to her?”
“You don’t have to say much. You’re already being generous enough to let her see Callie for the night. Just make dinner while I’m gone. You could offer her a bath or something if you want her to get out of your hair,” you suggested.
-
Spencer had offered Austin a bath so he didn’t have to deal with the awkward silence while you were gone.
He got to work cooking Rossi’s famous pasta for dinner, dicing onions and boiling the water. He would check the clock every minute and started a countdown in his head of when you would return home.
He heard the water drain from the tub upstairs.
Fuck, he thought, at least 10 more minutes until you’re home.
Austin sauntered down the stairs after her bath in just her bra and underwear, wearing one of Spencer’s unbuttoned dress shirts over top.
Spencer’s hands flew to cover his eyes, “What the fuck are you doing?”
“Hopefully you,” she smirked.
“I have a girlfriend, well it’s not official yet but I am very much committed to her,” Spencer stated.
“If it’s not official,” she drew closer, “Then, this wouldn’t be cheating.”
“I don’t care if it’s technically not cheating. I only have interest in Y/N,” Spencer spoke firmly, his hands still over his eyes.
“Just once, Spence…for old time’s sake,” she whispered in his ear.
“No,” Spencer backed up further into the pot of sauce he was cooking for dinner, spilling a bit of the hot liquid on himself.
Spencer opened his eyes at the burning sensation, “Now look what you did,” he sighed frustratedly, starting to undo the buttons of his shirt, “I have to soak this before it stains. I can’t believe you. Why would you think this is okay?”
“Just go wash your shirt, Spencer,” Austin rolled her eyes.
Spencer, being so angry, didn’t hear the door open.
“I’m not finished with you, Austin,” he stared her down.
He heard a squeak from the other side of the room. You were standing there, fresh tears running down your face.
Spencer looked down at his unbuttoned shirt, Austin’s lack of clothes, and recalled the last thing he said.
“Y/N, it’s not what it looks like-” he tried to run after you but you were already out the door, slamming it behind you.
Spencer scrambled outside to where you were starting your car back up again.
“Y/N,” he frantically tapped against the car window, “Please let me explain.”
You didn’t even turn to face him, shifting the car into reverse and peeling out of the driveway.
Spencer stormed back inside, grabbing Austin’s bags, “Get the fuck out of Y/N’s house and get the fuck out of my family’s life.”
“But Callie isn’t even home yet,” she argued.
“Good,” Spencer yelled, “Because it took you less than 3 hours for your true colors to show again. You care about nothing! You didn’t want anything to do with us then so you don’t get to have anything to do with us now,” Spencer escorted her towards the door, “I will not hesitate to file for a restraining order if I see you near me, Y/N, or my daughter ever again.”
“Can I at least change?” she asked as Spencer threw her bags on the front step.
“You were plenty comfortable showing me who repeatedly told you no so might as well show the whole neighborhood,” he slammed the door in her face.
-
How dare he? In your house. Probably in your bed.
You went back to your office because Spencer couldn’t even leave you the dignity to retreat back to your own safe space that was now tainted with bad memories.
Luckily, you had a few pairs of spare clothes that you always kept in the office and a fully made cot in case a patient needed to rest. You settled yourself on the bed, letting the tears begin to fall again, drenching your pillow as you let sleep take over.
-
“Please pick up please please please,” Spencer begged.
“Hi, you’ve reached Dr. Y/N Y/L/N. I can’t come to the phone right now-”
Spencer hung up and hit his head against the steering wheel. He had already said what he needed to say in the previous 20 voicemails, followed by the additional 30 calls he made every 15 minutes, hoping you would pick up.
“At least you’re not blocked?” Callie tried her hardest to put a positive spin on it.
She didn’t know the full story, coming home after soccer practice to see her dad crying on the couch. Spencer told her that her mother had come back and hurt Y/N’s feelings badly because that was essentially what happened, right?
Spencer had been replaying the situation over and over in his head. Yes, it looked bad from the outside perspective but he didn’t think he actually did anything wrong. If only he could find Y/N, explain it to her and have her believe him.
“Have fun at school,” he hugged her goodbye before she hopped out of the car.
“Remember to tell Mrs. Roberts to drop you off at our place, not Y/N’s,” he reminded her.
“Our house is going to feel so dull though. It’s always cold, did you notice that? We don’t even have a cat,” she whined.
“The least we can do is give Y/N her space to process,” Spencer told her, “If she’s ready for us to come back into her life eventually, we’ll gladly take it.”
“If?” Callie grimaced, “How bad did my mother mess this up?”
“I’d rather not say,” Spencer simply stated.
“That sounds promising,” Callie sighed, “Bye, Dad. Love you.”
“Love you too, sweetheart.”
-
“Could you give this note to Doctor Y/L/N?” Spencer asked the receptionist.
Y/N,
Your house is cleared out. Despite your previous statement, it is obvious we have overstayed our welcome at the moment. I hope if you give me a chance to explain, it will ease your pain and in turn, mine. I swear to you, angel, nothing happened. I can tell the full story whenever you are ready and I hope you can hear the truth in my voice.
Yours,
Spencer
“Jake Gomez?” he heard you call out.
He turned around to see a little kid hopping out of his seat in the waiting room and following you into the clinic area. You made brief eye contact with him and you looked so broken. It took everything in him not to run up and beg on his knees for your forgiveness.
-
Callie had a big soccer game coming up and you really wanted to go but you also really didn’t want to see Spencer.
Sure, you got his note but he could easily have lied. It was hard to argue with what you saw right in front of your eyes.
You pulled your hair back into a low bun and wore a hood pulled over a hat as well as sunglasses. You made sure to blend in with the crowd of moms.
You saw Spencer about 2 rows of bleachers down, leaning against the fence. God, why did he have to look so good in jeans?
Despite your sunglasses, one of the moms caught the subject of your stares.
“I’m pretty sure he’s single too,” she nudged you, “If I didn’t have a husband, I would be all over that fine piece of ass.”
You just nervously nodded in response.
-
The game had gone into overtime. The teams had to take turns shooting on the opposing goalie’s net. Each team must take 5 shots with 5 different players and whoever makes the most wins.
Callie was put in the stressful position of needing to make the shot to win the game for her team. She took her time, lining up the shot and stretching out her legs.
Callie ran in for the kick, faking left and when the goalie dived, she kicked right.
“Score!” the ref announced.
“Yes, Callie!” you stood and screamed in excitement, “That’s what I’m talking about!”
After the initial shock wore off, you realized Spencer was staring directly at you.
You grimaced, “Um excuse me, sorry, excuse me,” you repeated as you tried to quickly get out of the aisle.
“Y/N, please wait!” Spencer ran after you.
“I came for Callie, Spencer, not you,” you huffed, slowing to a walk because the parking lot was up a hill and you weren’t about to sprint the whole way.
“Please, Y/N, let me explain. I miss you so much, it hurts,” he pleaded.
“Oh you’re hurt?” you asked incredulously, “I’m sorry that me leaving after I found you cheating on me hurt you.”
“I didn’t cheat!” Spencer insisted, “She was coming on to me but I rejected her every single time. I was yelling at her for how inappropriate her behavior was, that's what you walked in on.”
“You were yelling at her with your shirt off?”
“I had my eyes covered at first so I wouldn’t see her indecent but I accidentally backed into the sauce and I didn’t want to stain my shirt.”
You sat there in silence, processing his story.
“Please say something. I’ll do anything to make it right, I need you back.”
A tear fell from Spencer’s eye which was followed by many more.
“I think your story is just crazy enough that I believe you,” you spoke.
“Really?” Spencer asked.
“Really,” you outreached your arms for a hug.
Spencer dove into your embrace like it was his air. He cried into your chest for 10 minutes until he finally met your eyes again.
“I’m sorry, I just thought I was never going to get to do this again,” he squeezed you tighter, “I love you, Y/N, and I want you to be my girlfriend. I actually want you to be more than my girlfriend someday but this is a good start for now.”
“I love you too,” you kissed him, “And just curious, what did you have in mind for the future?”
“I’m going to make you my wife someday,” he grinned.

does jess have someone that she would consider a best friend?
PROMPT : send me a topic to write a meta about my muse on .
HELL YES !
There are two women who mean more to her than life itself. I'll start with her first ever best friend: Lindsay McCabe.
[ And, prepare yourself, this is gonna be a long one LOL ]
Oh, Lindsay, how I adore you. Back when Jessica was fresh off her escape from Hydra, she finds herself rather lost. Emotionally, socially, she just doesn't know how to interact with people. Add onto that, she's got pheromone abilities raging out of control that either make people obsess over her, or feel complete disgust at the very sight of her. Once Magnus and Jerry leave, one of the first things Jessica does on her own is sign herself up for group therapy (where she also ends up getting her first job). In the first session, everyone is asked to pair off, and wouldn't ya know it:
side note but her little thought bubble in the next panel kills me
" incredible ! "
anyway ⸺⸺
TEN HOURS LATER ! Lindsay, it can not be said enough, I love you. Magnus, while a father figure to her, ultimately helps Jessica for his own benefit. Jerry only obsessed over her due to pheromones. . . But not our Lindsay ⸺⸺ the first person EVER to like Jess for Jess.
I'm just endlessly tickled by the bit below:
Bubbly Lindsay vs Emo Jess who just wants friends. You got this bbygirl.
THIS IS THEIR NEXT THERAPY SESSION TOGETHER . And it's one of my favourite all time moments! Lindsay immediately jumping to Jessica's defense, inviting her to do something to distract her, taking her back home to listen to music and talk for hours. She helps Jess relax, draws her out of her loneliness and gloom. And you ask me ? It's probably the first time she's ever truly felt at ease.
I'll pause with the panels ( partly for space, partly because I do have a couple posts in the drafts rn about Jessica's relationships with people, and Lindsay was ofc the very first post I started working on ) ⸺⸺ but the two only grow closer and closer. They have dinners together, talk for hours on the phone, Linds becomes a part of the Spider-Woman's nightly ritual to unwind back into Jessica Drew ( over the phone, ofc ⸺⸺ that identity is still a secret for now ! ).
Eventually, as a struggling actress, Lindsay's work takes her to San Francisco, and she asks Jessica to move in with her ! Another very cute couple of scenes, highly recommend, look how adorable they are all dressed up for the dinner when Lindsay asks.
During one of Jessica's cases, one of her clients stays at her and Lindsay's place. I'll let the scene below of Jess coming home play out:

god dammit Lindsay McCabe, I LOVE YOU. And Jess goes on an absolute rampage after that.
SHE'LL ALWAYS GO ON A RAMPAGE FOR LINDSAY MCCABE !
Because I got carried away, I'll wrap Jess and Lindsay up: vengeance is exacted, Lindsay returns home safe and sound. Shortly after that, due to Some Shenanigans™️, the two end up in Madripoor ⸺⸺ where Lindsay not only helps save Jessica's life, but the pair decide to settle and set up shop there for a while.
[ Unfortunately, for whatever reason, comic writers kinda forgot about Lindsay after that. I mean, granted ⸺⸺ Jessica herself was barely used in comics during the 90s and early 2000s ( aside from Mattie Franklin stuff ), and when she reappears as a regular in the mid-2000s, she's been replaced by a Skrull. Luckily, Beloved Karla Pacheco remembered Lindsay and put her back into Jessica's life. And it seems as though the two kept up contact, even if Linds was off the page for IRL decades. ]
Now 😌 put your hands together for the one, the only ⸺⸺ CAROL DANVERS !!!
I could, in all honesty, never shut up about these two. The mushiness that they openly share, despite putting on such tough exteriors towards others. Their affection through hugs, holding hands, touching each other's faces. The way Carol constantly goes to bat for Jess, and it doesn't matter who to. Ever since day one, they have trusted one another. They tease each other. They argue. But they'll always look out for the other when it comes down to the wire. Doing anything to find the other when they're lost or missing. Jess is canonically Chewie's babysitter. They write each other when Carol is in space. "Kirk." "Spock." MAN. . .
I LOVE THESE TWO.
Because I absolutely did start getting carried away again, I'm gonna save a long deep dive into her friendship with Carol for another post ⸺⸺ especially since I've wrote so much about Lindsay. But, I hardly get a chance to talk so much about Lindsay. And, also, because I genuinely do never shut up about Jess and Carol. So, for now, I've included some links below to posts that have some of my favourite moments.
[ ♡ . ♡ . ♡ . ♡ . ♡ . ♡ . ♡ . ♡ . ]

Review: Heartland Ep. 1503 Bad Moon Rising
(A truncated version of this was posted on Facebook.) I feel like I'm still holding my breath after watching Ep. 1503 on Sunday. Episode writer Ken Craw left us with a bit of a cliffhanger when the credits started rolling on "Bad Moon Rising". It's not often that we get a touch of fear and dread on Heartland, but it's been building ever since the season began with the serial break-ins happening in Hudson. And now, our beloved family has fallen victim to the thieves, but I'm getting ahead of myself.
The break-ins are still going on in Hudson, and everyone is on edge. Lisa convinces Jack to install a security system. He manages to do it with Parker’s help, but not without a few hiccups involving a destructive raccoon and a thirsty Lyndy who only wanted a night-time glass of milk. (If you didn’t immediately want to hug that poor kid when she accidentally tripped the motion sensors... way to go, Jack. You’ve probably traumatised your great-granddaughter for life.)
The second plot point is Amy lending a hand at Cooper's equine therapy centre ("Higher Ground"). It seems that on top of being super busy, his horse trainer up and quit on him. Amy has agreed to step in on short notice, but only until Cooper finds a real replacement. The current "busy-ness" is a gala Cooper's been planning to raise awareness for the centre.
For now, Cooper has six kids (teens, really) from a group home outside of Hudson. We soon learn the names of two of them: “Mac”, a scowly youth with his ubiquitous backwards ballcap, and “Logan”, a tall, lanky kid with an easy smile and a mop of curly hair. We soon also learn which one to trust, and which one to avoid — especially if we’re of the equine species. Third plot point: Paula Westfield is on the warpath over the break-ins. She nastily blames Cooper’s recent batch of kids for the unsolved crimes, and wants Lou to take action and shut down Higher Ground immediately. (Side note: it’s during their conversation we learn where Georgie’s been, which is Florida, training for a chance at the Olympics. The startled look on Paula’s face—and her attempt to be gracious about it when she totally wasn’t—was priceless.)
We don’t know what to believe about Cooper’s kids, but one of them (Mac) causes Challenge the horse to spook and react violently when Amy tries to pair them up. It’s Logan to the rescue, though. He jumps into the pen and gets between Challenge and Mac just as Amy rushes in to calm the horse. Belligerent Mac acts like he did nothing wrong, leaving Amy and Cooper at a loss as to what to do, since they don’t know what triggered Challenger. Lou tries to make good on her promise to Paula to check out the centre and OH MY GOSH! Is that Clint Riley?
Hi, again, Clint. It’s good to see you... maybe? It seems Clint is there because they’ve also received calls about the possibility Cooper’s kids could be involved in the break-ins. Cooper denies they could be, but neither Lou nor Clint would be doing their due diligence if they didn’t at least take a look.
While trying to get to the bottom of Challenge’s issues, Amy learns lanky Logan has a great instinct for horse behaviour. We also learn he’s reluctant to bond with any horse because he won’t be there long. His dad is coming to get him very soon Logan says, and they’re going to be reunited. (As viewers, we obviously sense this ain’t happening exactly the way Logan hopes it will.) As it happens, just as Logan says he’ll be outta there like *that*, he snaps his fingers, causing Challenge to spook. It’s the clue Amy’s been looking for: loud, unexpected noises are the trigger. Anyway, Amy is impressed with Logan’s natural ability with horses. He’s curious about how she gentled a wild horse like Challenge, so she takes him out to see the wild herd, and the splashy paint she wants to gentle for her stepmother, Jessica Cook.
(Side note: warm welcome to Drew Davis aka Logan. He’s already charmed his way into my heart with his easy-going manner and easy smile. I hope he gets more screen time as Logan is a very likeable character already.)
Paula accosts Lou again in her office, demanding to know what’s being done about Higher Ground. Her place was nearly broken into the night before, but the perpetrators were scared off by one of the grooms. She declares if Lou won’t take action, other people in her circle will (“pillars of the community”) and that the Centre is going down, and that Lou will probably go down with it. (Side note: Kate Drummond is so great in these scenes as Paula, you love to hate her. But the best—or worst, depending on your interpretation—from her is yet to come. More on that later...)
Lou learns Cooper’s Centre is in serious financial trouble. He’s pretty much pinning all his hopes on the success of the gala. He might be a great social worker, but he’s a lousy accountant. Lou offers to help him due to her business acumen, but things aren’t looking good.
Despite Amy’s work with Challenge, the horse still reacts negatively to Mac, a sign the horse might not be safe to remain at the Centre and be around kids. Logan is distressed about this, since Amy tells him she doesn’t know where the horse would end up, since he can’t go back to his herd. It doesn’t take long before we find out why Challenge reacts to Mac, and why he’s scared of loud noises. Mac has locked him up in a stall and has unleashed the full measure of his cruelty: he’s throwing bang snaps at Challenge, the gunpowder exploding and sending off sparks everywhere, while the other kids just stand around and do nothing. Logan angrily grabs Mac’s bag of “party favours” away; Mac accuses him of being a thief just like his father. That sends Logan back at him with a fist. Mac deflects the blow and scurries off, leaving Logan seething. The other kids slowly leave, and Logan is alone with Challenge. He gently releases the horse from the stall and walks him out back to the paddock. A much calmer Challenge seems to sense he’s got a friend in Logan.
Later, the whole Heartland household is all dressed up for the gala and waiting for Jack in the kitchen. Jack comes rushing in and pulls out his bolo tie from a box also containing an antique watch engraved with the initials “J.E.B”. Lisa comments she’s never seen the watch before and Lou asks why he never wears it; Jack makes light of it, saying it’s just a piece of metal before tossing it back into the box on the kitchen table. (Foreshadowing, anyone?)
The gala turns out to be a very swanky affair, attended by what looks to be a large contingent of Hudson high society, including (pro) Fairfield clients Lisa quietly called, and (con) Paula Westfield’s “pillars of the community” who are probably there to see Cooper’s dreams are crushed.
Cooper’s kids are also guests at the gala. Logan tries to tell Amy about Mac’s actions, but they’re interrupted. Meanwhile, the security system is being a pain with a pile of motion alerts being sent to Jack’s phone (rascally raccoons), so he decides on Lisa’s suggestion to just shot off the camera alerts. (Foreshadowing, anyone?)
All seems to be going okay for Cooper as he stands up to say a few words... until Paula interrupts and says a mouthful—a damning mouthful—about the “criminal element” the centre has brought in, since some of the kids have a juvenile record. Clint finally steps in to stop her, but the damage is done. Paula leaves, and several guests follow in her destructive wake.
You’d think things could not get worse, right? They do. Logan, having heard Paula’s accusations, confronts Mac, asking if he’s had anything to do with the robberies. Mac denies it; Logan says he doesn’t trust him. Mac needles him by referring to Logan’s soft spot for locked up animals—like his father. Logan loses it and hauls off with a punch that knocks Mac to the ground. Appalled, Amy and Cooper (and everyone else, really) can’t believe what they’re seeing. Logan blurts out that Mac’s been torturing Challenge.
With that, Emma Fitzroy, one of Cooper’s early donors and supporters, tells him she’s re-thinking her support after that disturbing display. It’s like the last nail in the coffin for Higher Ground, Cooper says. Lou, Clint, and Amy try to bolster his sinking spirits, but he can’t bear to hear about it right now.
You’d think things could not get worse even after this, right? Oh, they do.
Upon arriving at Heartland... The lights are out. The screen door is off its hinges. A window is broken. Remi is barking out on the porch at the door. Lou pulls up next to the truck in the SUV and Amy’s on the phone to the police. Lisa begs for Jack’s phone so she can see when the break-in happened, except... when he tried to turn off the camera alerts, he turned off the whole system. Jack grabs a tire iron from the truck, and demands Lisa stay back. Inside the house, it’s a disaster zone. Thoroughly ransacked. And the thieves are long gone. Jack looks like he’s on the verge of tears at this violation. Cut to credits.
I have so many thoughts about this episode that I’ll probably share as the week progresses, but for now I can say I’m still really uneasy about how absolutely trashed the ranch house was, and how upset I am at Paula Westfield’s audacity. She’s ruined Cooper with her accusations.
It’s also a foregone conclusion Jack’s watch is gone. Despite his lack of sentimentality when Lisa and Lou commented on it, there’s got to be something more to it. Jack Bartlett, after all these years, you continue to surprise us.
Ken Craw really left nothing on the table with this one. Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. But Heartland being Heartland, I await the happy resolution to this.

Hey I have a request for a Malcolm x reader. Let me just start this off by saying I LOVE your writing. Anyways could you do something where everyone notices that Malcolm looks very well rested and is eating well and is very confused by it. Like his new girlfriend who is a nurse takes good care of him and she comes into his work because he forgot his lunch and everyone finds out he has a girlfriend and Gil calls his mom and she says she wants to meet with her. Sorry if it’s too long.
Really??? Thank you so much anon!
I love Prodigal Son and more people definitely need to watch it! Malcolm just needs a big hug! I love this request and I adore writing for Prodigal Son :D

“Is it me,” said JT as Malcolm walked into the station, “Or is Bright looking different recently?”
“Yeah,” Dani leaned against the counter and took a sip of her earl grey, “A lot less Bright-ish.”
Malcolm has definitely been acting different and people were starting to notice. The most notable difference was the gradual disappearance of the dark circles under his eyes. Bright seemed happier in general. He had more of a spring in his step and it was starting to make officers talk. JT and Dani stood up straighter as Gil walked over looking tired.
“He’s on something,” muttered Dani, “Definitely.”
“Nah,” said JT, “Think he’s finally found someone.”
Gil coughed on his coffee and Dani paused in taking a sip of her tea. They both looked at JT in shock but JT folded his arms and nodded at Bright.
“Just look at him” he said, “Distracted, well more distracted than usual. He’s all,” JT grimaced slightly but there was a warm affection in his eyes, “Loved up.”
“You sure?” asked Dani looking at Bright intently
“Positive.”
“He’s probably just on some new medication,” said Dani, “Not sure he’s too interested in dating after Eve.”
“You saw his lunches,” said JT, “All neatly presented and actually healthy?”
“Just getting his life in order,” said Dani, “It’s good for him.”
“Dani’s right,” said Gil, “Bright’s just sorting himself out.”
The three of them lapsed into silence. JT frowned and shook his head. It was too obvious that Bright was seeing someone, he recognised it. Apparently he looked like that when h3 and Tally first started dating. A junior offer burst into the room and the three of them looked over.
“Err,” she said, “Is Malcolm Bright here?”
“Yes,” said Malcolm walking over to her, “What’s wrong?”
“There’s a y/n at the front desk. She-“
The officer didn’t get to finish before Malcolm had ran out of the room. JT looked over at Dani and Gil and couldn’t help but feel slightly smug.
“Told you,” he said as he followed Malcolm out of the room, “I’m going to prove that I was right.”
*
“Y/n,” Malcolm said rushing towards you, “Is everything alright? What happened?”
“Noth-“
Malcom stopped right in front of you and gently cupped your face. His thumbs brushed along your cheekbones and you blushed slightly at the contact. Malcolm usually didn’t going into PDA and he usually reserved these actions for when the two of you were alone.
“I’m fine Malc.”
“You are?” Malcolm frowned, “But you’re here.”
“Because you forgot your lunch.”
You held up a bag and smiled.
“You were in such a rush with the case that you left this morning with it.”
You loved cooking with Malcolm and it was one of the things that took his mind off of his troubles. The two of you had reserved time out on Sunday to make sure that you cooked together and prepared lunch for the week.
“You could’ve just texted me,” said Malcolm, “You didn’t need to go and deliver it to me.”
“It was on my way to work,” you said, “No trouble.”
Malcolm opened his mouth but something made him freeze. You looked at him in concern as he closed his mouth and took a deep breath.
“I should probably let you know,” he said quietly, “That I haven’t told anyone about us yet.”
“Ok…” you said slowly
“And,” Malcolm turned around and you looked over his shoulder, “We have an audience.”
“Hi,” you waved awkwardly at Dani, Gil and JT, “I’m y/n.”
“A nurse,” said JT, “Didn’t know you had it in you.”
*
You were sweet, that was the best way Gil could describe you. He collapsed into his chair once you had rushed back off to work. It clear that you and Bright adored each other and if Malcolm’s improving health was anything to go by you were good for the kid. His lips twitched as he remembered the looked Malcolm gave you as you left the station.
The two of you were a cute couple.
The buzz of his phone drew him out of his thoughts. He glanced down at it and when he saw it was Jessica Whitly he knew it would be better if he answered it. If he didn’t she wouldn’t let it go.
“Jessica,” he said, “Everything alright?”
“Oh yes fine,” said Jessica, “If you don’t count not hearing from your son for almost a week fine. Calling you seems to be the only way I can get a hold of him.”
“What do you need Jessica,” he said pinching the bridge of his nose, “This case-“
“I know, I know,” he heard her sigh down the phone, “I’m just concerned about Malcolm. You know what he gets like during cases like these.”
“The kid is fine.”
“You sure?”
“Yes. His new girlfriend seems to be helping him keep on track.”
The silence down the phone told Gil everything.
“Malcolm has a new girlfriend?” Jessica asked and Gil could hear the curiosity and amusement in her voice.
“You didn’t know.”
“Whereas you did.”
“We only found out today. I think he was trying to keep it quiet.”
“Well then, thank you for this little chat up Gil but I really should be going.”
“Jessica-“
“Such a lot to get done and never enough hours in the day.”
“Jessica-“
“Bye.”
After Jessica hung up Gil was left looking desperately at his phone. He wondered if he should warn Malcolm or let him find out on his own.
*
Malcolm was getting used to the fact that the two of you had different schedules. Usually you got home later than he did so he was surprised when his door was unlocked. However, the scent of perfume in his flat told him that it wasn’t you in his flat.
“Malcolm,” said Jessica walking towards him, “Got home early tonight.”
“Mother,” He said looking at her suspiciously, “What are you doing here.”
“I was worried about you,” she said, “It’s been so long since we’ve had a proper dinner. So this Saturday you, me and Ainsley will be having dinner.”
“I don’t know if-“
“It’ll be fine,” she said walking towards the door, “And bring y/n. I’m dying to meet her.”
As the door shut behind her his mother’s words fully sunk in. Malcolm closed his eyes and ran a hand over his face. Dinner was going to be interesting and he was going to have to fully prepare you to meet his mother and sister.
Oh well, at least you weren’t meeting his father.

Can i request some good ol mutual pining with comic buckycap??❤❤
Here you go! Thank you for requesting.
The Real You
Summary: When Steve and Bucky learn that their girlfriend, Y/N, was kidnapped and impersonated by a Skrull, they’re heartbroken. They miss their girl more then ever, and are beyond happy when they’re reunited with her.
Steve and Bucky sat on the couch in their shared apartment with their girlfriend, Y/N. Y/N had gone out with some friends, but Steve and Bucky were sitting, holding hands, and waiting for a phone call from Bruce Banner. With the rumors of Skrulls on Earth, Bruce had developed a new way to test if you were a Skrull or not. Even though Steve and Bucky were confident that neither of them were Skrulls, they still sat, waiting for the results.
“You nervous?” Steve asked Bucky, looking over at his boyfriend.
“I shouldn’t be, because I know you and Y/N aren’t Skrulls but . . . I can’t help it,” he admitted.
Steve nodded his understanding, squeezing Bucky’s hand before his phone rang.
He picked it up, shared a glance with Bucky when he saw Bruce’s name, and turned on speakerphone.
“What is it, Banner?” Steve asked.
“You and Barnes are Skrull-free,” Bruce informed them.
Steve and Bucky cheered and kissed in celebration.
“Y/N, too?” Steve asked.
Bruce’s brief silence concerned him.
“I’m sorry, Captain, but the Y/N now is a Skrull. They kidnapped her and are impersonating her, and we have brought the Skrull into custody,” the doctor said.
Steve nearly dropped his phone, paling. “T-thanks Bruce,” he said quickly, before hanging up and turning to Bruce.
“Oh my god,” Bucky breathed.
“She’s been a Skrull,” Steve said, in shock.
“How did we not notice?” Bucky asked angrily, standing up and beginning to pace. “How did we not notice that our GIRLFRIEND was a Skrull?”
Steve looked up at him, at a loss for words. “What did they do to her? They kidnapped her . . . she’s been kept captive for who knows how long,” he realized, his heart sinking. Was she okay? Injured? Was she . . . Alive?
Bucky turned back to him. Steve saw tears in his eyes. He looked broken. “I swear to god I will kill those bastard Skrulls who took her,” he promised.
Steve stood up, taking Bucky’s hands in his own. They were both crying. “I know,” he said softly, resting his forehead against Bucky’s. “We’ll get her back. We’ll take care of her. We’ll apologize for not realizing what happened.”
“Damn straight,” Bucky agreed.
The two were unable to stop talking about their girl for the rest of the night. They theorized, they cried, and their hearts ached to have Y/N - the real Y/N - back in their arms.
For the next couple weeks, all they could think about was getting Y/N back. They missed her terribly, and it hurt more than you could imagine to not know if she was safe, if she was hurt, and where she was. They worked non-stop with the other Avengers. They of course were worried and heartbroken to find out that friends Jessica Drew, Bobbi Morse, Susan Storm, and more had also been replaced by Skrulls. However, they couldn’t deny that their top priority was getting Y/N back.
Meanwhile, Y/N sat chained up in the spaceship floating through . . . Space that she had been forced into. She missed her soldiers more than anything, and they were all she could think about. Jessica, Bobbi, and Susan would keep her company, but it only did so much. She was so hungry, and tired, and in pain from what the Skrulls had done to her. She wondered, would she ever get out? Would she ever see her boyfriends again? Were they okay? Did they even knew that she was gone? Skrulls were damn good at tricking people, playing with people’s emotions.
Y/N longed for them. To touch them and to hug them. She wanted to see Steve’s smile and hear Bucky’s laugh. She’d close her eyes and imagine them standing in front of her, telling her a joke, telling her that they’d find her.
That trust and hope in her boyfriends was the only thing that kept Y/N going.
So when the space ship was broken into and she saw Iron Man standing there, Y/N couldn’t have been more happy. Her heart leapt in her chest and tears came to her eyes. He saved her. She was going to go home. She’d see her soldiers.
Y/N watched how Tony got Jessica out, and craned her neck to see Jessica nearly collapse in a blonde’s arms - Carol, she guessed. Next was Susan, and Y/N suspected that she went out to see her husband Reed, her brother, and her children. Then, Y/N.
Tony smiled at her as he broke the chains. “Your men have been non-stop in getting you back,” he told her, before moving onto Bobbi.
Y/N carefully stood up, wobbling a bit as she stumbled towards the door. She couldn’t remember the last time she had been on her feet. Y/N got herself out, and was overwhelmed to see so many faces, to see Earth itself. She narrowed in and instantly saw Steve and Bucky, and when they saw her, all hell broke loose.
Y/N instantly gathered the little strength she had left she fell into their arms. All three of them were crying tears of joy.
“Oh my god, oh my god,” Steve whispered over and over again, his hand combing through her hair and tugging her close. Y/N’s chin was on Bucky’s shoulder, theirs arms around hers, as she stood in their loving embrace.
“You’re back,” Bucky whispered as well, and Y/N nodded against Steve’s chest.
Stepping back, Bucky immediately scooped Y/N up into his arms. She didn’t complain - just let him carry her, and held Steve’s hand.
“We’re taking you to go checked out medically,” Bucky said, and Y/N squeezed Steve’s hand.
“Okay,” she said, not in the mood to argue. She knew her soldiers were stubborn, and logically she knew she probably needed medical attention.
“I missed you so much,” Steve said.
“Ditto,” Bucky added.
“I missed you, too. You guys kept me going,” Y/N said.
After Bruce looked her over and put her on bed rest, Y/N laid between Bucky and Steve in their bed, the two of them doting over her.
“We bought a new bed after we learned that Skrull-you wasn’t you-you,” Bucky said, handing Y/N a glass of water.
“We bought a new everything,” Steve said, getting a laugh out of the woman.
“Do you want to talk about . . . it?” Steve asked her.
Y/N held hands with Bucky and Steve, leaning her head against the pillow. She sighed, knowing he was referencing to her being held captive by Skrulls.
“No,” she answered quietly.
“Okay,” Bucky said, and then looked at her. “I’m sorry, Y/N. Should have recognized that Skrull-you wasn’t you. I feel . . . Horrible.”
Y/N looked at him, seeing the guilt and pain in his eyes.
“I’m sorry, too. We should have seen it. We should have known that it wasn’t you,” Steve said, rubbing his forehead. It was all he and Bucky had been wondering: how the hell had they not SEEN that their girlfriend was a Skrull?
“It’s okay,” Y/N began to say.
“No, it’s not,” Bucky said. “It’s not okay because you were gone for months and we were kissing and having fun with a Skrull.”
Y/N sat up, despite their protests, and looked over at both of them. “Skrulls are insanely good at impersonating people. I forgive you. It’s okay, trust me,” she said, putting her hand underneath both their chins, earring smiles.
“I love you,” Y/N said, lying back down.
“We love you, too,” the boys said together.

Five Years Ago
Sam held you a little closer tonight. Seeing Jessica… it just brought back so many bad memories and took his mind to a darker place. It was the place that gave him nightmares of losing you or his brother. So he held you a little closer. You didn’t mind. It helped you fight your own night demons.
Of course, you couldn’t sleep anyway. You laid there, gently running your fingers through Sam’s hair and staring up at the ceiling. There was this dread gnawing at your insides. You weren’t her. You would never be her. It wasn’t that she was beautiful. She meant more than that. She was the life Sam always wanted but never got. The life he still dreamt about. The one he hoped for someday. You couldn’t give him that life. You were too far gone.
“You okay, kid?” Dean was looking over at you from his bed, unable to sleep himself. He had been doing more research on the leviathans. You turned your head, eyes glistening in the dark.
“That was one sick bastard.” You whispered angrily. Dean sighed.
“Sometimes that's how they get us. They can make us see things. Stuff we want to forget.”
“But he doesn’t want to forget her.” You looked back up at the ceiling. “Not really. I think her memory gives him hope.”
“Hope for what?”
“For the life he could have had with her.” You didn’t say anymore, but you didn’t have to. Dean understood you pretty well. You two were a lot alike. That’s why you scared him.
-
Present Day
“Sam?” Makayla gasped, looking at you with wide eyes. Dean’s eyes kept darting between you and Sam and the little girl. Makayla was beaming. “My dad’s name is Sam!” You inhaled sharply.
“Kayla, why don’t you go back with Miss Naomi and show her those drawings you made me?”
“But I want to stay here and meet Sam.” She pouted her lip and gave you those big puppy eyes that her dad was always so good at. You kissed her forehead.
“You can meet him later, but mom needs to talk to them first, okay?”
“Okay.” She frowned and scampered off to find Naomi. Without her, the three of you fell silent, everything slowly sinking in.
“How old is she?” Sam asked quietly. You barely heard him.
“What?”
“How old is she?” This time he looked at you and his eyes with a mix of sadness and anger and confusion, but most of all, he looked devastated. You had to look away.
“She’s four. She’ll turn five in March.”
“Jesus Christ, Y/N…” Dean sighed, running a hand down his face.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Sam was trying to keep himself together, but this was too much. First, you come back after five years of leaving him in the dust and then you tell him he has a daughter?
“I wanted to, Sam. I swear, I was going to.” You cried. “But I never knew if you were alive or dead or in hell! I didn’t know what to do Sam.”
“You find me and tell me I have a child!” He yelled, towering over you. “You had four years, Y/N. There’s no excuse for that.” You wanted to reach to him, but your arms just fell limply to your sides.
“I’m sorry.” There was nothing else you could say.
“Sorry?” Dean scoffed. “Sweetheart we are so far past sorry, we’re in a different time zone.” Dean was almost as rattled as Sam. This whole time, you had been hiding a kid. After the way you left… Sam deserved better than this.
“What do you want me to say, Dean?” You exclaimed. “I have been doing the best I can to raise a little girl, and in our world, that isn’t easy.” Sam stiffened.
“You’re still hunting?”
“Don’t start with that, Sam.” You didn’t like his accusing tone. “I tried settling down, okay? For the first year, we lived nice and quiet in New Mexico. Then those vampires came for me and I had to run. So I started hunting again.” It was all you knew. “On big cases I bring her here to stay with Naomi.”
“I can’t believe you.” Sam laughed bitterly, turning away. Dean crossed his arms over his chest.
“If you’ve got this all figured out, why come to us now? Why tell us now?”
“The vampires and I have a history. I thought if I could just keep ahead of them, they would give up.” You explained, Sam refusing to look at you. “But they got too close this time. Kayla almost got hurt and I realized that I had to take the bastards out once and for all.” The brothers didn’t say anything. Dean had his angry stare locked on you while Sam watched the sky. “I can’t do it alone, Sam. I have to do this. For both of them.” He finally turned back to you.
“They’re the vampires that killed Makayla… aren’t they?”
You named your daughter after your best friend. You grew up with Makayla, went to high school together, even roomed together in college. You were practically sisters. One night you came back to your apartment and there they were. Three vampires leaning over her body with her blood dripping from their mouths. It was why you started hunting in the first place.
You nodded and Sam took a deep breath. He didn’t have a choice now. He had more to lose.
“Can I…” He started, his voice trailing off as he glanced at the house. “Can I talk to her?” You mustered a small smile.
“She’d love that.” You watched as he nervously fixed his jacket and walked inside.
“Of all of the things you’ve done, this is by far the most messed up.” Dean growled, staring you down. You kept your eyes on Sam, another tear falling.
“I know.”
Sam slowly opened the door and found the little girl sitting on the floor, the TV going as she drew pictures in a little notebook. Sam sat down across from her, grabbing the remote and turning the volume down. He looked at some of the pictures she had finished. They were mostly stick figures, of course, but all of them were of her and her mother except the one she was working on now. Beside her were two taller figures with big smiles drawn with purple crayon.
“Hi Makayla.” He greeted softly. It was like he didn’t know how to interact with a child anymore. How could a person whose height barely reached his knee make him so nervous? She looked up from her drawing, her eyes bright and curious.
“Hi Sam. Are you my dad?” She said it so frankly that it took him off guard. You appeared in the doorway.
“Makayla.” You scolded. Sam held up a hand to stop you.
“No, it’s fine.” He took a deep breath and gave Makayla a smile. “Yeah, sweetheart, I’m your…” He looked over at you and you just gave him a reassuring nod. “I’m your dad.” If he hadn’t been paying attention, this four year old would have tackled him to the floor.
Makayla threw her arms around his neck and Sam had to hold her up so she wouldn’t fall. His arms wrapped around her gently, like he was afraid he’d crush her. The two just sat there for longer than you thought Makayla was capable. She was always running and jumping and fidgeting. But in her dad’s arms, she didn’t squirm. Your heart swelled at the sight. Sam had his eyes closed to try and keep from crying, but a tear still slipped down his cheek.
“You must be Sam.” Naomi appeared in the doorway, cleaning off a machete. For a moment, you almost forgot who you all were.
“He’s my dad!” Makayla squealed happily. Sam stood, using one arm to keep her up and holding out his other hand to shake Naomi’s.
“Sam Winchester.” She shook his hand with a smirk.
“Oh honey, I know all about you.” Sam’s eyes darted over to you and you could have sworn that he gave you a smug smile.
“We should probably be going.” You thanked Naomi and grabbed Makayla’s things. She clung to Sam all the way out to the car. You saw something flash in Dean’s eyes, but you weren’t sure what. You threw Kayla’s things in the back. “Wait, I almost forgot.” You ran back to Naomi’s car and grabbed the car seat. Dean cast you an annoyed look.
“Dean, she’s four.” Sam exclaimed.
“Okay, okay.” The older Winchester huffed. You could tell he was just being ornery for the sake of it. Sam pried Makayla off of him and buckled her in. You slid in the seat next to her.
“Alright, I’ve already scouted a motel in Lebanon that isn’t far from you guys.” You started. Sam turned around.
“What are you talking about? You’re staying with us.” The look on his face didn’t exactly make you want to argue.
“You don’t have to do that-”
“As much as I dislike you, I’ve got to agree with Sam.” Dean glanced at you in the mirror. “The safest place for that little girl is the bunker.” You knew they were right. You weren’t super excited to explain the situation to their not-dead mother, but as long as Kayla was safe, it didn’t matter.
“Uncle Dean?” Makayla chimed. Dean’s eyes widened, the title giving him a weird feeling.
“Uhh, yeah?”
“Can you play Flatwheat Macaroni?” Both Winchesters looked extremely confused. You sighed.
“She means Fleetwood Mac.” You could see Dean slightly smile.
“I like her.”
-
After a very eventful day, Makayla was asleep by the time you got to the bunker. Sam carried her inside and you grabbed your bags. Inside, you could hear Mary talking to someone. You knew that monotone voice anywhere.
“Cas?” You dropped the bags on the floor and rushed into the library. There stood your favorite trench-coat wearing angel. Mary crossed her arms, still giving you a suspicious glare. You ran to Cas and crashed into him with a hug.
“Dean said I’m not supposed to like you anymore.” He hesitated to hug you back, but slowly, his arms wrapped around you. Dean pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, announcing that he was going to take a shower.
“I missed you Castiel.” You beamed. Sam tapped you on the shoulder.
“I’m going to take her to your room.” He whispered. Mary’s expression softened as she looked at the little girl in her son’s arms.
“Sam, who is this?”
“I, um, I’ll explain when I come back.” He said, grabbing your bags with his free hand and finding your room. Cas looked curiously at you and Mary sat down, pointing to the chair across from her.
“Sit.” She ordered. You obeyed. Honestly, she was more terrifying than the vamps. Mary placed her hands on the table. “Look, I don’t know who you are or what you are doing here, but I know that something happened between you and my boys.”
“Mary, uh, Mrs. Winchester- ma’am,” You stuttered. “I can explain-”
“I just need to know one thing.” Again, her expression changed to a gentler curiosity. “Do I have a granddaughter?” Cas’ eyes went wide and he stared down at you.
“Yes.” Sam answered, coming back into the room. “Makayla is my daughter.”
“How long have you known?” Mary asked. How much had she missed?
“About three hours.”
“Sam and I were together about five years ago. I…” You closed your eyes, not sure if you could face her for this part, “I left and I found out I was pregnant. I’ve spent the last four years trying to raise her alone.”
“What do you mean you left?” Mama Bear was starting to resurface and Sam put a hand on her shoulder to settle her down.
“It’s okay, mom.” But you could tell he was lying. “It was a long time ago.”
“I need a minute to just… absorb all of this.” Mary sighed and retreated to her room. Cas stood awkwardly beside you, the silence growing more and more uncomfortable by the second. Sam looked at the angel and then pointedly looked at the door. It took a second for Cas to catch on.
“Oh… I should go and do some… angel things.” You couldn’t help but laugh at his complete inability to be subtle. Damn, you’d missed him. Your amusement instantly dissolved when you looked back at Sam. He didn’t look angry, which was somehow so much worse.
“I’m sorry it had to be like this.” You would give anything to keep from hurting him.
“It never had to be like this, Y/N.” He sighed, sitting across the table from you. “I went five years never knowing why you left. And now you turn up and reveal that I have a daughter? Just… tell me why.” You were actually taken aback. Dean never told him.
“It doesn’t matter anymore, Sam.”
“Like hell it doesn’t!” He exclaimed. “Y/N, you just vanished. No note. No phone call. Nothing. You were just gone.”
“I left because I loved you.” You watched his face just contort with more pain and confusion. He pushed away from the table.
“You know what? I can’t do this right now.” He ran a hand down his face with an exasperated sigh. “I’m going to check in on Kayla and then I’m going to bed.” He was absolutely exhausted, but he knew he would just lay in bed and stare at the wall for a few hours before trying to lose himself in some lore. He left without another word.
Five Years Ago
Sam was in a better mood today. A much better mood. He laced his fingers with his while his other hand rested against your bare thigh. Dean had spent the morning driving around town. He figured the two of you could use some alone time. You were grateful. You wanted Sam to hold you, to kiss you and touch you just one last time.
You couldn’t stay. You knew eventually, he would see it too. He would figure out that you weren’t what he wanted and you would just end up alone and heartbroken. At least now, it was on your terms.
“Dean will probably be back soon.” Sam sighed, kissing your cheek. “Him and I are checking up on some intel on a possible case. You want to come?” You stretched, lounging comfortably in his warm embrace.
“I think I’m going to take the day off.” You would spend it packing, not that you had much to take. You kissed him fervently, wanting to savor the feeling for as long as you could. Sam climbed out of bed and gathered up his clothes. Once he was dressed, he started towards the door. “Hey Sam.”
“Yeah?”
“I love you.” You smiled, trying to hide the sadness in your eyes. Sam just beamed.
“I love you too. I’ll see you soon.” With a giant grin on his face, he left. You were gone before he got back.

Burning Bright
And this is my story for the @frozines zine! It’s set in my Flatmates universe, about three months after the main story. Enjoy!
Burning Bright
“Hello?”
“Kristoff, mate! I have some excellent news.”
“What’s that?” Kristoff said, and mouthed ‘Sven’ to Anna, next to him on the sofa. She nodded and put her head back down on his shoulder.
“Since we now live somewhere with a garden, we have decided to throw a BONFIRE NIGHT PARTY.”
“Yeah?”
“And the fifth is a Friday this year so it’s perfect. You in?”
“Sure, sounds good. I think we’re free.”
“What?” Anna said, sitting up again.
“Bonfire party at Sven and Jess’s. On the fifth.”
“Ooooh! Yes yes yes that sounds amazing.”
“Anna doesn’t think she has anything better to do so we might pop along,” Kristoff said back into his phone.
“Do you need us to bring anything?” Anna said, climbing half onto his lap and leaning so that her mouth was near the phone. “Like any food or anything? Or any fireworks? Or any sparklers -”
Kristoff leant back out of her way. “Well done, mate, you’ve got her all over-excited.”
“We’ll bring sparklers!” Anna said.
“We’ll bring sparklers,” Kristoff said into the phone, deadpan.
“Oh, awesome, I didn’t think about sparklers. Don’t worry about food, we’ll do the food. I’ve got a leaflet here from the fireworks stall at Tesco. Do you think we should get the Alpha Supreme Selection Box, or the Jupiter Mega Box?”
“I think those both sound too big for your handkerchief of a garden.”
“You aren’t invited if you’re going to be a big chicken party-pooper wet blanket. Anna can come, but not you. She knows how to have a good time.”
“Please don’t set fire to my girlfriend.”
“I’m not going to set fire to anyone or anything. Promise.”
-----
Since moving into their new house in the summer, Sven and Jessica had thrown several parties - a housewarming, multiple summer barbecues, and Sven’s birthday party, to name a few - and Kristoff knew what to expect. The firepit was lit in the corner of the garden, and had been dusted with a powder that made the flames change colour. There was a table of food just inside the back door, and coolers of ice and bottles just outside, as well as a steaming pot of mulled cider on the hob in the kitchen. Anna soon flitted off to chat with other people she knew, and Kristoff helped himself to a beer and a chicken drumstick and looked for a place to sit.
“So, when are you going to ask her to marry you?”
Kristoff jumped at the voice right behind him. “Sven, for god’s sake. And we haven’t even been together three months.”
“What? She’d say yes.”
Kristoff glanced over at Anna, sitting on the garden wall chatting to Jessica as she ate some corn on the cob. She looked up and caught his eye, and smiled; when Kristoff looked back at Sven, his friend was looking amused.
“She’d say yes,” Sven repeated. “Do it do it do it.”
“Shut up,” Kristoff said, mildly. “I’ll do it when I’m ready.”
“We’ve got ahead of you, you need to catch up.”
“We do not. The situation is under control.”
“Why wait?”
“Because proposing after three months is a crazy thing to do, it’s way too early -”
“- not if you know it’s what you want and you know it’s what she wants.”
“You guys were together two years before you got engaged.”
“Yes, but I’m lazy.”
Kristoff rolled his eyes.
“Whatever,” Sven said. “I’m going to start writing my Best Man’s speech anyway. And you can’t stop me.”
“Who says you’d be my Best Man?” Kristoff said, but Sven was already walking away to greet some new guests.
-----
“Fireworks time!” Sven announced, once most of the food had been cleared away and drinks had been refilled. “I have put a bucket of sand to put the fireworks in, right over there -” he waved to the bottom of the garden - “And I have already nailed the Catherine Wheel to the trellis post, and I have a taper to light things and a torch to read the labels, so if anyone has anything to say about my safety measures then speak up now or forever hold your peace.” He looked at Kristoff, who said “Do you have a bucket of water?”
“What? Why?”
“In case of fire. And to put sparklers in while they’re still hot.”
“Yes, sparklers,” said Anna, rummaging in her bag and pulling out several packets. “Who wants a sparkler?”
Sven had walked off with a martyred expression; he returned after a couple of minutes with a bucket of water, which he placed at Kristoff’s feet.
“I will take a sparkler, thank you,” he said. “You know,” he added to Kristoff, “You can be a right royal pain in the backside.”
Anna handed Kristoff a sparkler, and lit hers from the firepit, then used it to light Kristoff’s. He lit Sven and Jessica’s while Anna made cheerful hearts and stars in the air.
Sounds like someone doesn’t want to be my Best Man after all, Kristoff so nearly said, before remembering that Anna - among other people - was within earshot. What would Anna say? It was niggling at him now, now that Sven had brought it up. He’d been happy enough just to be with Anna, but now - he wanted to know what she would say, if he did ask. Damn you, Sven, he thought.
Anna drew a heart around his face with the last bit of her sparkler, dropped it in the bucket of water, and pulled him down by the shoulders so that she could kiss him.
“Stop looking so grumpy,” she said. “It’s a party.”
-----
The box of fireworks contained a selection of Roman Candles in different colours. Sven held each one up and read out the name to cheers from the spectators (“This one is called Meteor! This one is Vesuvius! This one is called Golden Showers, I swear to God that’s what it says, look if you don’t believe me.”). There were also a few rockets, which had to be stuck into the bucket of sand very carefully, and then zoomed off into the sky to explode in a handful of coloured sparks.
Anna had started stamping her feet to keep warm, so Kristoff opened his coat and hugged it round her. “Does my hair smell smoky?” she said, snuggling back against him.
“Little bit. But it’s a nice smell.”
“Mm. A nice autumn-y smell. Ooh! That one was nice - can we go to the display in the park tomorrow?”
“Sure, if you like.”
“Last year they had doughnuts. I went with some people from work. Ooh!”
Kristoff kissed the top of her head. “Elsa not a fireworks person?”
“I know you’ve never met her, but I feel like you should know by now that no, Elsa is not a fireworks person,” Anna said.
“And now!” Sven announced, “The grand finale! The pièce de résistance - the Catherine Wheel. Behold!”
He lit the touchpaper carefully, and ran back to the patio by the house. The touchpaper burnt, and lit the whole wheel, which gradually started to turn. Everyone cheered.
But after a moment, the wheel ground to a halt. Flames were still spurting out of the sides, and there was starting to be an unmistakable smell of burning wood.
“Mate,” Kristoff said. “Mate, I really think -” There were now definite flames that were separate from the firework.
“The trellis has caught,” Sven said, “Shit -”
But Anna was already running past them, grabbing the bucket, and hurling the contents at the trellis. The cold water hissed into steam as it put out the fire, but with rather more of a clunking, crashing noise than she had expected.
They all stared at the smouldering trellis for a moment. Sven cleared his throat.
“Firstly, Anna, thank you,” he said. “Quick thinking there. Secondly…”
Anna looked at the bucket she was still holding. It was not the one Sven had filled with water earlier; it was plastic, and rectangular, and, well, insulated.
“Secondly,” Sven continued, “That’s actually the cooler and you’ve just thrown all the beer halfway down the garden.”
“Woops,” Anna said.
“Good job there’s plenty more in the fridge,” Jessica said briskly. “Thank you, Anna.”
“Thank you, Anna,” Sven said. Then he nudged Kristoff in the ribs. “Looks like we didn’t need your bucket after all.”
